Question about dying curly maple

I have a customer that wants me to make a small rain stick made out of curly maple but wants me to make the maple as light as possible, and if possible make it an ivory color. What could I use to dye the curly maple to make it as white as possible?

If it was ANY OTHER COLOR I’d know how to do it but turning it white/ivory will be a first for me.

Ideas?

Use an A/B wood bleach. It will do exactly what you said you wanted.

Shit. Why didn’t I think of this? I’ve used two part wood bleach a ton to lighten the color of woods!

Here’s some curly maple after I bleached it lol.

For white washing when it was a trend, I thinned white acrylic paint with water and wiped it down after applying.
