Haunted Hotel on Netflix quickly became one of my favorite animated comedies
I'm surprised this is on Netflix, let alone that it got two seasons. Great voice cast, great writing. Only started watching it this month and I've already watched both seasons twice.
If you like Community/American Dad, you should check it out.

Why isn't the Chris Carter 'Millennium' (1996-99) series available to stream on Hulu?
As it's coming close to the 30th anniversary of Chris Carter's awesome Millennium show, I haven't watched it since it first aired and it'd probably be dated now if someone did, but for a show as super dark and grim as this was (that'd be made for streaming today), it's amazing that it managed to last 3 seasons on free to air broadcast TV on Fox.

rewatching SATC in 2026 makes me understand Samantha so much more
started rewatching SATC last weekend and honestly forgot how much time Carrie spent stressing over whether Big was going to call her.
i know it was a different time, but watching her sit around waiting for a phone call is kinda painful now lol. and Charlotte treating every relationship like it might be her last chance to get married. i still love them, but god, it looks exhausting.
the funny thing is dating now isn't exactly better. we have apps and a million ways to meet people, but half the time nobody wants to actually deal with anything uncomfortable. Carrie spent days wondering why a guy hadn't called, now people just disappear from your Hinge matches and you never hear from them again.
but Samantha is the one i keep appreciating more on this rewatch. she wanted relationships and sex on her own terms, and she wasn't constantly trying to turn every guy into some future husband. obviously she had her own messy moments too, but i like that she didn't seem to think being single meant something was missing.
maybe i'm just getting older, but a quiet night at home sounds pretty great compared to going on another date i'm not even excited about. skincare, a dumb show on tv, maybe some alone time with my tracys dog. i used to feel like staying in on a Saturday meant i was missing out on something.
now i think Samantha had a point about enjoying your own company. although she'd probably tell me to stop overthinking it and go have some fun lol.

What's the most influential TV series, not necessarily the best, but what has changed the media landscape for better or worse?
I know this has been asked before, but what I really want to know is what shows have really changed the type of TV we consume. My submission (as an old person) is MTV's Jackass, which was such a precursor to YouTube. It's early reality TV and also "extreme" videos that really do numbers on YT now.

Which remakes were better than the original?
This doesn't necessarily mean the original was bad. It can also be if the original is not as well respected or remembered. The remake can make the original more known.
