Looking to buy a tablet, preferably andriod for SD card usage. Here is what im looking to do with it. Please help me with finding one that can match these criteria's

• great for downloading and using apps like Reddit, Tiktok, ect

• great for reading and writing. i plan on doing a lot of my writing projects from this tablet. needs a decent sized memory and the option to input SD cards for additional memory

• works well with things like Firefox and ad block for streaming, reading online articles/pages,

• great for creative ventures like writing, drawing with a pen, ect ect (might need apps to download for those specific activities)

• isn't running on MacOS because of its limitations. even though I use an iPhone for personal phone activities

• bonus points if it can connect to a external mouse and keyboard.

thanks in advance for your recommendations and help!

ipados doesn't have much limitations unless u want it to be a literal desktop replacement tbh, but that aside, get the samsung tab s10 or s10 ultra (depending on your budget)

I meant like limitations in customization and some app limitations like Mozilla not being able to use ad block on IOS the same way you could on a non IoS product. Theres little things like that, that always irritated me about mobile apple gadgets. Also not having easy access to cracked/apk apps.

Also limitations with connecting to your pc thats running windows

I’ll definitely look into those Samsung tablets, thank you.

If u want to sideload apps on iOS, use sidestore and ipa files (basically apk but for iOS). Also connecting to windows seems fine for me but everyone’s mileage varies I suppose. Also, u can put extensions like ublock origin in safari, not sure about Firefox though

Personally the Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 Pro or the Pad 2 Pro 5G variant. Sd card is up to 2gb expansion, good performance and a big screen

Is the SD card replaceable? Id like to have a lot of extra space.

Great recs though. I check the Redmi out and its definitely on my final choices list. Thank you

Of course! The pad comes with the typical sd card slot on the side, and if you buy the 5g variant it becomes a sd card+Sim tray. Glad to help! I have been looking for a tablet for my studies as well and this tab was my first option. And my friend who’s a photo journalist got one too, and he said editing feels so smooth on the tab. About the pen, there is a specific pen that the tab works with, but i think a third party pen could also work.

Oh and the pad supports otg with usb 2.0 so fast transfers and can connect to a type C usb Dock so you can plug in mouse and keyboard, sd cards, USB all at the same time
