I need help with/using Soundcloud Please help

When I go offline, it keeps automatically skipping every single song, even ones I loaded before going offline. It is just me? Can someone please help? It’s getting annoying!

Well off line..means no inter net..I'm guessing. So that's the problem.

no, I mean when I load my music with internet then go offline, it usually lets me play the music. But today, it started zooming across my whole catalog, and whenever it got to the last song, it would just sit there. Is this a bug? Idk how to stop it from skipping every song in my catalog, super weird.

Bit of a pain..but could try.. uninstalling the app. And give it a fresh upload? That might help.. If there has been any updates.. that might fix it. Bit of a pain..but might work? Or sign out..sign back in?

This "glitch" was intentional by Soundcloud, there was a popular method to skip all ads by turning wifi and or cellular data off for a second and then pressing next song. Soundcloud did this because it makes it much harder to go back to the next song you wanted to play, and discourages skipping ads.

Hello! I’m facing the same issue since Friday July 31st 2026 with my iPhone 14 Pro Max (26.5 iOS version)

The app version of SoundCloud is 8.71.0.

Normally on Free SoundCloud, since its inception, it’s always possible to hear multiple songs offline once you have listen to them and load them at least once online. I’ve been using this method on SoundCloud since 2013.

As you can see in the embedded screen recording video, when I try to listen to music online, it’s doing fine, you can easily switch from one song to another. However when it’s offline, it’s glitching to point it’s skipping to multiple tracks so quick you can’t catch up. You can’t even select the same songs you’ve listened online

I’ve already reinstalled the app, restarted the phone, clear the 35 MB app cache, free some storage (5GB left), even tried Shuffle and Repeat option, Airplane Mode with and without WiFi. I also tried with one single song without queue and with an official album (which skips track until the final song without the ability to play it)

Hello! Just to confirm that after two weeks, the issue has been resolved and I can use SoundCloud offline normally.

Did you update your app?

1

u/SchoolCareful9916 Aug 02 '26

Yes, fully updated

When was the last time you have cleared your app cache?

1

u/SchoolCareful9916 Aug 03 '26

How do you do that?

1

u/SchoolCareful9916 Aug 03 '26

Just cleared it, still not working. I think it’s an issue on SoundCloud’s part, I’m not too sure

Could be. There's been a lot of technical issues involving 3rd party software that are used by most online platforms. Cloudflare is the most common and used by many social media platforms.

I been having the same issue either they removed it for no "soundcloud go" users or it's a glitch.

sound cloud has no offline option, u have to be online to listen

Hi there, thank you for surfacing this to us. It looks like you are playing the tracks online, and then when you go offline, they are stored in a cache, which allows you to play them offline. This cache is only so big and can only allow for a few instead of every track. It is important to note that downloading tracks to listen offline is only an option if you have a subscription with SoundCloud Go or Go+

As for the comment showing the skipping error, this is something we are aware of and working on to implement a fix. Thank you!

this just started happening to me too not long ago, before you had to play it online at least once then you could listen to it offline aslong as you played it online but right now its just skipping everytrack

This "glitch" was intentional by Soundcloud, there was a popular method to skip all ads by turning wifi and or cellular data off for a second and then pressing next song. The issue is not about the ads, especially because you can listen to multiple tracks online before an ad appears. Spotify does unskippable ads too.

The issue is about skipping tracks offline. It’s not just you can’t listen to the next track, it’s that SoundCloud skips every single track so fast you can’t stop it.

1

u/Bulky_Team1678 Aug 26 '26

Yes exactly, that was on purpose by Soundcloud. That way you cant do the quick wifi turn off and skip ad method. Now when you lose any connection, you cant just go back to the song you wanted to skip ads for and listen to. You now cant listen to the next track offline because that was the only way to bypass ads without purchasing a subscription.

1

u/Bulky_Team1678 Aug 26 '26

Basically, it isn't a issue, but a new "patch" by Soundcloud to prevent people from skipping ads and encouraging people to purchase a subscription.

1

u/snowinginlondon Aug 26 '26

i used soundcloud since i was able to listen offline , later i bought a subscription to remove ads but now i come back to this 🤦‍♂️

Thank you for your perspective. And It’s a failed experiment then because like I said before, the main reason why I listen offline was never because of avoiding ads. It’s because since the beginning, it was always possible offline to listen to tracks you already played online, long before ads were in the picture. Especially when I don’t have 4G or don’t want to waste my 4G, I can still listen to the playbacks. When I use connection, I still listen and let the ads play, I don’t really care.
The glitch of quickly skipping every single track is just a bad look and an annoying experience if it’s done on purpose.

you have NO IDEA how nice it is to hear I‘m not alone –the problem isn’t nice but it’s good to know it isn’t my phone.

I am willing to listen to ads, I just want to be able to listen while at work without draining the battery.

I’m experiencing the same thing and it’s soooo annoying especially commuting to work underground on the train. This has never happened before so it must’ve been a recent update that broke it or something. If this problem continues I’m going to cancel my subscription because this is pathetic.

Since Mon 24/08/2026 I have not been able to upload a mix session to soundcloud. I have had the error on my app on my android phone as error connect to a stable Internet, even though there is no problems with my internet/WiFi connection. I tried using my laptop and it did not work and the msg was unexpected error. The file is in the correct format and size to be suitable. I have tried uninstalling app, signed out and resigned in? Tried using mobile phone data still error. Contacted broadband Internet provider checked the stability they said there are no problems and it might be a problem on their side due to the failure failing on transcoding, HELPPPPPP????
