hello,
I have a strange dilemma. I have a cat who keeps ripping out the black rubber thing in my kitchen sink. the one that sits over the garbage disposal. I believe it's called a "splash guard." I didn't even know it could be removed, but he keeps going to the sink and yanking it out whenever I leave the room.
and no, putting the sink stopper in doesn't work. he will yank that out too, then grab the splash guard and throw it on the ground. I have already lost the first one because he hid it somewhere, so I had to buy another.
so i'm considering gluing it in with some clear silicone waterproof sealant. is there a downside to this at all? is there any reason that splash guard needs to be removed completely later down the line? I don't know anything about sinks and i'm not particularly handy with house stuff. please help
