Got the freaking call!
The turnaround was way quicker than expected. Initially requested for the Batgirl a month ago, then later changed my preference to a Bruce Wayne on jubilee 2 weeks back.

Got the call for this beauty FINALLY after a 4 year wait. I originally put my name on the list for this in 2022 with a salesperson and was not very active in checking up.
Came back in 2025 and asked about it again through a different salesperson (turns out the original salesperson left uhh). She was super honest and said it could be awhile and buying stuff would help. So we purchased some necklaces and earrings for the wife and kids and also a 40mm rose gold YM on oysterflex a few months ago - a gorgeous freaking watch.
Told the salesperson I am still interested in the Titanium YM and would love to buy it whenever it comes in. Got the call on Friday and could not get there fast enough.
Shout out to Lin at Galleria Bachendorfs in Dallas. She is AWESOME.

**TW: Talking about weight and showing body progress**
Today marks **100 days** since I learned I was headed towards diabetes and decided that I was going to make a change by just eating right and working out and today I am 20 pounds down and in the best shape of my entire life!!
I have struggled with my weight my entire life and I am really proud of myself for 100 days of tracking everything I ate, keeping a 750 calorie daily deficit while hitting my macros, and consistently lifting weights and cycling 4-5 days a week. Am a Capricorn, so see the charts for the data - "What gets measured gets managed" 😂
The best parts are the non-scale wins: daily energy, digestion, resting heart rate, blood pressure, feeling comfortable at a water park lol, and my kids wanting to come to the gym, too!
So to celebrate today I got myself my very first submariner and I figured the Hulk would be great because I feel fitter and stronger than I have in my entire life at age 38 than I ever did in my teens or 20s!
I'm sure I'm a fitness noob compared to many of you here on this sub, but I wanted to celebrate getting the healthiest I've ever been and totally changing my lifestyle.

None of my friends are watch people. I met a couple people who were into rolex’s at work and I loved how passionate they were. But I was never into them because I could never afford it. Truthfully, I couldn’t tell you much about the different models.
I’ve never owned a Rolex or a luxury watch before - but have admired them for years. I’d recently been looking at Omega models as they were more in my price range.
Then my father-in-law very generously gifted me this brand new Daytona for a special occasion. He visited a few ADs and managed to get the last one available, which they’d been holding for a special customer - thanks to his relationship with them and the occasion.
A few questions for owners:
- Do you wear yours daily?
- Any areas to be careful with? I’ve already noticed a couple of small scratches around the clasp.
- Any insurance recommendations?
- Any more additional fun facts about this watch would be great, I know it’s a special one, and I’m very lucky.
Thanks

My first watch from this AD was zombie (two tone GMT2) and this is my second - for my son. Should I keep this for myself lol?

There is so much beauty in simplicity. When this watch was unveiled at Watches & Wonders, there were lots of mixed feelings. Some people complained that it’s a two tone while others thought it was unique. After wearing it for a few days, I can tell you that there isn’t anything like it on the Rolex catalogue.
This watch is not a true two tone. The gold bezel simply gives the watch a warmth that elevates the wearing experience without making it flashy. I feel like I can daily this watch, and since I’ve owned it, it hasn’t come off my wrist.
The gold crown and the green text are another little detail that makes this watch so elegant. Also the square behind the indices are in green which is totally unique in the OP lineup.
Another reason I adore this watch is that it’s 36mm. I have owned 41mm Rolexes and coming down to 36mm feels incredible. I can absolutely pull off 41 as well but there is a difference between pulling off a size and being comfortable while wearing it all day.
If you were offered this piece at retail, would you get it? Let me know your thoughts Rolex fam.

I share this pic every few years just in case people haven't seen it. Sometimes people say things like "how lame that he just buys hyped models" but these weren't always hyped. Mike Wood founded The Old Watch Shop in Southport, England and was one of the people that popularized MIlsubs in the first place. Milsubs could sell for the same price as a regular Sub (or less!) in the 1990s. And the Comex models have always been desirable but didn't always sell for the massive price tags they do now.

Had been on waiting list (Europe) for an op 36 in black since mind July but the Explorer caught my eye in recent months and asked to switch to that - got the text after around 3 weeks.
It’s weird - it’s very petite when you hold it, but wears bigger. For context, wrist is 7.25 inches.
I’ve looked at photos and videos of it for weeks, but it’s very different in person. Can’t put my finger on what it is.
Anyway - cheers!

Used to wearing a 40mm and 42mm chrono and diver before, trying a 36mm for the first time

Got the call for my wife's Datejust 31 Everose Rolesor with silver diamond dial and asked what else they had available. They brought out two Yacht-Master 40s Everose Rolesor with chocolate and intense black dials, and my wife told me we had to buy one so we could match. Who am I to say no? I went with the intense black. Still waiting on my stainless steel Sky-Dweller with white dial. First purchase with the AD, so hoping this is the start of a mutually beneficial relationship.

Put my name on the list early this summer and got called last week. I know the 36 is less in demand, but seems like overall demand may be less.

I’ve loved Rolex since middle school, and getting into watches started with the dream of one day being able to own one myself. My mom gifted me this as a late college graduation present, and it means more to me than I can put into words. Even more special is that my grandfather was able to source it through an ad in Switzerland and get it as a walk-in. Knowing the story behind how it was found makes it that much cooler to me. It’s not just about finally owning a watch I’ve dreamed about for years. It’s about having something gifted to me by my mom to celebrate such a big accomplishment in my life. I’ll forever cherish this watch. Every time I look down at my wrist, it’ll remind me of graduating from a top ranked business school, something I never would’ve dreamed as a kid, and the love and support of my family. I could own a hundred watches someday, but this one will always be special.
