Looking for simple biased Analog Mixers for RF schematics or equivalents for the SA612/NE612. HF.
Hi!
I'd like to know if anybody around here has found or made any schematics for a simple biased HF mixer using discrete components or has any NE612 biased equivalents. I'd like to use one for a homebrew HF DC receiver. I will miss the NE612...

Why not use a switching CMOS SPDT based mixer? Eg 74LVC1G3157 is modern, actively manufactured, easy to get, and costs peanuts. And runs from 2-6V.
Search for KISS or double KISS mixer. Such mixer is way superior compared to any SA612/NE612 based ones. It’s better even than expensive diode ring mixers from Minicircuits.
As for NE612, sure you likely can get some of them on Ali and they do work - but beware they don’t tolerate a very strong signal and they are kinda linear only to a few tens of mV.

MC1496 is still manufactured, just needs a bit more external biasing
