Two remote repositories but PyCharm let me push only to one

I am a bit new to PyCharm--sort of because I've finish a small piece of software, that is I have created a small addon for Blender. Now I want PyCharm to push to two independent repositories: projects.blender.org and my own space on guthib.com.

I added both repositories via Manage Repositories... but when use Push, PyCharm only let me push the first repo on the list--I can't actually see to the other one.

I checked connection to both repositories in Terminal

git remote show blender_dev && git remote show github_dev

and everything looks as good as it should. Git shows all information including links and current state. However PyCharm still only shows the first repo.

Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Hi!

The second remote should be there. In the Push dialog, the remote name shown next to your branch (usually "origin") is a clickable link. Click it and a picker opens with every remote you added under Manage Remotes. Pick github_dev or blender_dev from there, then push. Only one remote shows in the row at a time. Both are always available in the picker.

If your goal is pushing the same commits to both remotes in one action, that is Git-level configuration, not a PyCharm setting. Add the second URL as an extra push URL on one of your remotes:

git remote set-url --add --push blender_dev https://github.com/<your-user>/<your-repo>.git

After that, git push blender_dev in the terminal, or PyCharm's Push dialog on blender_dev, sends the commits to both URLs. The github_dev remote stays around for fetching. Reference: git help config, entry remote.<name>.pushurl. Please let me know if that helped!

Thanks for the response.

You are correct. The clickable name opens a list of available remotes.

I missed that, but in my defense it is quite unusual to see a clickable name used to open a list. I would rather expect something like a box with an arrow to indicate such list.

Anyway, this response definitely clarifies things and sort out my problem :)

Also, thanks for the optional part with an additional remote URL!
