Apple Cider without a juicer

I picked 27 pounds of apples from the tree in my backyard, and I want to try fermenting it into cider, but I don't have a juicer, or the desire to buy one. Is it possible to puree and strain them, and then ferment that?

It is. It would be a poor investment in time and energy.

Look at local tool libraries, post on social media / ask your friends.

Buy a juicer and donate it to your local tool library (this is what I did)

Chop and freeze. That helps break the cell walls or something. It makes them much easier to juice after thawing. Once thawed, squeeze through a mesh bag or even a clean tshirt. 🥂

You could boil them into applesauce and ferment that.

Plenty of places rent out apple pressers for a day
