But it’s not like this post is critical of Shane in any way. I’m sure he’s half-joking, but this is exactly what reporters do. Michael Che loves to tell misogynistic jokes, so I’m sure he doesn’t care. But, even if he did, he’s probably going to be asked about this when he would prefer to focus on his special. I don’t see the joke here. I think this is “playful” honesty from another problematic comedian.
ETA: “Weighing in” like this is also probably a ploy to promote his special. I won’t be shocked to see a bunch of Michael Che Speaks Out headlines.

Yes, the only thing Che could be mad about here is Shane getting to the “joke” first. I cannot see Che having a problem with calling women whores as the whole punchline. His Weekend Update jokes are constantly saying something demeaning about women and counting on people to groan.

This is also one of those "all publicity is good publicity" moments. People are talking about this right now and it gives him a chance to promote his Netflix special (that I didn't even know about before this post). He's using it to piggyback. Even if he *was* pissed, it's still bringing more attention to Che's work, so I don't think he'd be pissed for long anyway.

To me it’s crystal clear that what Che finds objectionable is the response, which he probably considers handwringing. He’s always such a dork.
