Moving forward, poodles with Merle coloring are not permitted on this sub. Merle coloring is a byproduct of mixing Australian Shepards into a poodle line. A poodle with Merle coloring by definition cannot be AKC papered without outright lying. Breeding for color is nothing new for poodles, but in this circumstance it comes with the possibility of introducing myriad health issues, and is an irresponsible practice at best. It is not good for the breed, it is dangerous to the dogs. We cannot in good conscience allow the promotion of this Poodles with this genetic trait, beautiful or not.

Several times per day there are scammers who post here, showing a t-shirt or similar product, and then another scammer in the comments asks, "Where did you get it?" A link to a scam website is posted for everyone to follow, provide their personal info and credit card, then wonder how their identity got stolen.
Just like a Parti Poodle, it's very black-and-white. If you see a post sharing a t-shirt design, mouse pad, coffee mug, etc. IT IS A SCAM, and the quickest way to get your account banned is to reply, "Where can I get one", "I love it, do you have a link?" or something similar.
Here are the rules:
It seems every time something like this is posted, more than one of our users fall for it, then they are asking moderators, "What did I do to get banned?" You responded to a scammer, which makes you look like you're on their team. Just stop.

She'll let me do just about anything to her if she's in a warm spot. So, I decided to spread her ears out. π€£

We've been planning to add to our two human, one spoo family for almost 4 years, and the right situation never presented itself until this weekend.
While "all breeds are wonderful," poodles are the only dog for us. Vetting breeders? My area is fraught with BYBs with minimal interest in the dog's health or well-being. The state permits this. It's... not good.
Saturday, Hubs & I headed out for a slightly overdue oil change at the dealership. We lucked into a Subaru-sponsored adoption event and returned with a poodle from the humane society. (Yes, a kill shelter. π’ Yes, we donated.)
This spoo-pup was surrendered only a few days before the event. She's been well taken care of, comprehensive medical records for proof, and I pray that the family who surrendered her experiences a miraculous recovery. The fact that they made it from surgery is a miracle in itself.
It must have broken their hearts to have given her up. What a selfless act of love. We are honored to welcome this sweet girl into our lives. π₯°
Welcome home, Serendipity. We promise not to dye you π purple π again and to love & take care of you as long as you live.
(Photo tax paid. We can't wait to give her a bath & neaten her up. π€£)

Does he look like a standard or a mix? Either way, he's perfect :3
Pic #1 is how the shelter received him after he'd been found out in the middle of nowhere, Montana. He was so reactive his first couple days, but he's such a quick learner!

Hello All!
We have a 5.5 month old spoo with us now. We take her for grooming every 4-6 weeks (depending on our schedules), but we notice she really needs more shaving around her hygiene areas because of the staining. (She is predominantly white with some cream.) My husband and I are wondering what the best clippers would be for us to use at home for our baby girl. (Definitely realize we'll need to be careful for such sensitive areas and have been watching videos for proper hygiene cut techniques in preparation.)
Thank you in advance! Photo included for tax

Both very fluffy, due for a short haircut real soon. Had to remove Kiwi's pompoms because I was slacking on brushing.
Loves of my life. Joy of my life.

Hey everyone, my poodle mixβs hair is wavier than it is curly. Clips and hair ties always slip out but I want to keep his hair long. He just canβt see without a clip :/
Any tips for styling his hair while keeping it long? As you can tell we try to make him pass as a poodle as much as we can

What it says on the tin. I'm struggling to find good miniature poodle breeders in Colorado. I feel like everyone is breeding doodles instead! Any help is very appreciated.

I have a 7-month-old mini poodle, and he has TONS of toys. Seriously, he's spoiled π
The problem is that over the last two weeks, he's started ripping EVERYTHING apart.
Honestly, I don't care if he destroys his toys. I'm happy to buy him new ones. But the problem is that he actually eats the pieces!
And before anyone asks, he gets plenty of food, treats, and attention, so I don't think he's doing it because he's hungry.
I feel bad because every time I take away a toy he's destroying, he just moves on to another one and starts ripping that apart too.
At this point, my closet is full of toys I've had to hide from him.
So what am I supposed to do? Just stop giving him toys altogether?
Has anyone else gone through this phase? Does it get better? What toys are actually safe for puppies who insist on eating everything they destroy.
P.s I used chatgpt for grammar and clarity
