Hey everyone!

Like many of you, I’ve been following Google’s back-and-forth rollout of battery health diagnostics and cycle counts. Most third-party battery apps out there either feel bloated with ads, look like they were designed in 2014, or constantly request internet and location permissions.

I wanted something clean, native, and completely trustworthy for my Pixel, so I built Pixel Battery Health.

It's built with Jetpack Compose & Material You (dynamic colors that match your wallpaper), requires ZERO internet permissions (literally not even in the manifest), and uses hardware-level Coulomb counting to track usable battery capacity and charging speeds.

I'm currently running the closed testing track on the Google Play Store and would love your feedback and bug reports across different Pixel models (Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9 series, Fold, and a-series)!

The app currently includes:

• Battery health diagnostics: Reads available charge-counter data to estimate usable battery capacity.
• Charging telemetry: Displays voltage, current, power, and charging status.
• Battery protection alerts: Configurable charge-limit reminders and temperature warnings.
• Charging history: Logs charging sessions and battery usage.
• Material You UI and widgets: Dynamic colors and glanceable battery information.
• Privacy-first design: No internet permission, ads, or third-party analytics.

I'm currently running a closed beta and would appreciate feedback from people using different Pixel models, particularly the Pixel 6, 7, 8, 9, Fold, and A-series.

I'm especially interested in whether battery readings and cycle counts match what your device reports, and whether you encounter any bugs or UI issues.

Interested in testing?

1. Join the Pixel Battery Google Group using the Google account associated with your Play Store.
2. Open the Google Play testing page to opt in and install the app.

If access doesn't work immediately, allow a few minutes for Google Play to update your tester eligibility.

I'd genuinely appreciate your feedback and suggestions. Thanks!

Wife was in the kitchen, and I didn't want to disturb her. So I pulled out my hot plate to make an omelette. The hot plate is pictured.

Hey everyone! I’m looking for a good back cover for my Google Pixel 10a. I prefer a classy, minimal black case with the original Google logo visible on the back.

I don’t want anything too flashy just something premium-looking with good protection.

If you’re using a similar case, please share the link or photos. Thanks! 😊

There is also the "music palace"

I noticed that when I'm driving now it's putting me on parallel roads. The circle that indicates accuracy is much much larger than it ever was with the six. I'm getting GPS signal lost messages which I never got before.

I have this xiaomi charging adaptor (specs written in image) is it fine to use this one for my device without impacting battery health in longer duration? I know I don't get optimum charging speed

Does anybody know any places in bangtao phuket Thailand where I could get the screen replaced on a Google pixel a7 and a screen protector?

Hello,

I switched to the Pixel line a few years ago, got the OG Fold (it broke, line down the screen) then went to the Pixel 9Pro.

I absolutely love it for everything, both personal and business since I use Google Drive for both.

The Samsung Zfold 8 caught my eye though with the passport style design.

Will I regret switching?

Anyone getting random bouts of lagging or hanging up after the October update. It'll happen when in a web browser usually, switching between or closing tabs, etc

I've had this Torras Q3 Air case for about two weeks now and I love it. The 360 kickstand, the slight lip on the camera bar to give me a place to rest my index finger, the small textured grips on the side, the orange buttons on the side, the look, the magnet strength, and the dope overall look.

I was a bit hesitant about the high price, but I'm highly impressed and satisfied! If you're looking for an all around great looking case with magsafe and 🔥 kickstand I highly recommend this one.

I've been using the 9 Pro without a case for 18 months, and got some nasty scratches on camera millimetres away from the lenses. Any news if 10 / 11 are better at this?

Should I get camera protector? I live in Norway, and they're not easy to find here.
