Not necessarily. I've met native speakers who really are this bad at writing and spelling. Even down to the specific work of spelling borders as "boarders".

We have a machine at work called an "NPT". Short for the company that makes that machine.

A guy at work labeled his maintenance cart "NTP".

Three letters, and couldn't get it right. And yes, that is just an example of things, not a single mistake.

(He also believed Michele Obama was a man)

I'm just being pedantic because the context is kinda funny. You misspelled Michelle Obama's first name.

Our native speaking president continues to be dumfounded that dumb is spelled w a b. Hasn't quite hit him that numb and thumb have the same agenda. We are the dummest, most embarrassing (hehe...ass) country and its never gonna end. Sad. We used to be a grate cuntry.
