Anybody got floor seats for motionless in white?

Idk if this is allowed but
Hey does there happen to be a kind soul in here that is needing to get rid of their Apocalypse fest tickets on Halloween and has floor seats that will sell me them without charging an arm and a leg??? Iykyk we shouldn’t be paying $200+ to mosh.
I know this is a reach but I figured it is worth a try

Sugar Tickets for Tonight at Union Transfer for $11?!

Just checked axs.com to see if tickets were still available. It's apparently sold out, but there are resale tickets starting at $11. They were originally more than $70. If you're a 90's alternative fan, or know anything Bob Mould has ever done, this is found money.

vocal coaching for screamo?

hey all! my girlfriend has been talking about wanting to learn how to scream, like a lot, so i wanted to get her lessons for the holidays this year as a gift, but i have no idea where i could even go to do this for her. she is self taught in singing and i’d say she’s fantastic at it, but she really wants to get coached in how to scream without hurting herself. some inspirations for what she is interested in are glocca morra, joyce manor, and prince daddy and the hyena. i am not well versed in anything like this at all, i just want to help her gain the skills she wants to have, so if you know anyone that does them (or you do them yourself) please let me know!

Piece is a variant of exquisite corpse+ game music. Open to any genre or instrument, some experience in improvisation is preferred.

Edit: everyone who’s commented as of 6pm est has been noted, will reach out over the weekend regarding next steps

Goth events

I'm new to the Philadelphia area and wanna support the goth scene. I've used the Phillygoth site to find events, but I've only been out once so far.

I know the music has branched off so much that DJs have to try to satisfy everyone; it's hard to tell just based on poster description if specific nights have a genre slant. Does anyone nearby know which recurring events tend toward which genres?

I'm additionally looking for specifically goth rock, darkwave, death rock, or ethereal wave band performances or DJ sets if anyone knows upcoming. Thank you all. 🕷

Philly's own Slomo Sapiens play a new two-day fest that was dreamed up behind a grill by a dude flipping burgers

Post image

That dude is me.

Hey everyone,

I'm Joe. I run Melting Trends, a small booking and promo outfit on the shore in Asbury Park, NJ. I wanted to share this here because Philly's own Slomo Sapiens are on the bill, and it'd be great to see some Philly faces come out and support them. If you caught their WXPN Key Studio Session, you know why they're on it. They play Saturday.

The rest of the lineup is a pile of indie, garage, alt and psych rock bands I think this sub would dig, headlined by Wes Parker, a Richmond indie rocker (ex-Camp Howard). It's about an hour and a half from Philly, an easy trip down the shore for a weekend of music.

Every fest needs an origin story, and mine starts working the door at the legendary AP venue The Saint and behind the grill at Bond Street Bar.

My best friend Steve and my mentor Mike "OG" Longo kept sending me songs, so I started a playlist just to keep track of all the good tunes. Then people started following it. Then bands from all over started emailing me their tracks. And at some point it hit me. These bands needed a place to play, so why not give them one?

So the submissions turned into shows. The shows turned into a shot at booking Bond Streets Block Party, which I took over in '25 and has featured MANY philly bands over the years. And now there's this fest, Melting Waves Music Fest.

Melting Waves Music Fest
Saturday Nov 14 and Sunday Nov 15
Asbury Lanes, 209 4th Ave, Asbury Park, NJ
Doors at 4, music at 4:45 both days
All ages (21+ with ID to drink)

18 bands. Psych, garage, stoner, shoegaze, indie, alt, and whatever else just fits:

Wes Parker
Trophy Wife
Gods
Rachel Ana Dobken
Sunshine Spazz
Sun Voyager
95 Bulls
Certain Death
Labretta Suede & the Motel 6
The Dracu-las
Düül Suns
Slomo Sapiens
Von Mons
Cairo Jag
Söūp
The Painted Windows
Owl Doom
Judo Chop

Most of these bands came to me through that playlist, so this is basically the playlist come to life.

You can get a two-day pass (not many of those) or just Saturday or Sunday. Everything's here:
https://www.meltingtrends.com/melting-waves-music-fest

If you're in a Philly band that fits a bill like this, DM me. I'm always looking, and I'd love to bring more Philly bands to Asbury Park.

Hope to see some of you there.

Joe

PS If you're coming to trash the artwork, please don't. Enough people in other subreddits have already informed me that it's hard to read... not much I can do about that now though.

INDIE ROCK SHOW IN PHILLY (10/16)!!!

Philly! my name's Tanner Dane and I'm a touring artist from Chicago. I am playing my FIRST ever headline show in Philadelphia next Friday night (10/16) at Silk City Diner with the full band and would love to meet you there! I am looking for all my live music lovers and indie heads out there that have a free night and are down to support. It's a tough touring market out there so anyone showing up means the world!
