After doing a lot of research and comparing different monitors, I finally pulled the trigger on the Acer Predator X27U W3bmiiprx! Here are 3 pictures of my setup.
Monitor specs:

2560 × 1440 (1440p / QHD)
240Hz refresh rate
0.03ms response time
My PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 7600
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB
RAM: 32GB DDR5
Resolution: 1440p
I was coming from a regular 1080p 144Hz monitor, and honestly, the difference is absolutely insane. The image quality, contrast, colors, and overall clarity are on another level. It’s genuinely a night-and-day difference, and now that I’ve moved my old monitor into a vertical position as a secondary display, comparing them side by side makes the upgrade even more noticeable.
However, there’s one thing I didn’t expect: HDR.
After trying it out, I actually ended up preferring HDR OFF, at least in RDR2. With HDR enabled, the image looked darker and more washed out to my eyes, and the colors didn’t have the same vibrancy and clarity I got with HDR disabled. I tried adjusting the settings, but so far, I still prefer the SDR image.
Maybe there’s something I’m missing with the HDR calibration or settings, so I’d love to hear your recommendations if you’ve had a similar experience, especially with RDR2.
Apart from that, I’m absolutely blown away by this monitor. The image quality is ridiculously good, and I’m really happy with the upgrade. Going from 1080p 144Hz to 1440p QD-OLED at 240Hz feels like a massive step up.
For those of you using OLED monitors, do you usually keep HDR enabled, or do you prefer SDR for certain games? And if you play RDR2, what HDR settings have worked best for you?
