How many miles in the mountain do you get on your electric dirt bike?
I rode a couple different ones, got 12 on one and 22 about on the other, want one with more range

There’s no way to accurately measure this because going uphill requires an exponentially larger amount of energy. I was able to climb a 5000ft mountain using half the battery. I recharge it using the hybrid battery from the Prius.
The new bike is 2x faster with a 2x dense battery

Mine goes 50 miles pretty easily around the city. Range drops in half if I ride 50mph the whole time. I could get 90 miles if I only go 15mph on flat

Looks great! Let's see if this gets downvoted to hell like the last post. I'll never understand people hating on someone asking for help or input on something. If it doesn't last, give the fabric spray I suggested in the other post a try.

Yeah already had some left over so gave it a shot a few hours after the original post, thanks for being the only person who helped

you dipped the nylon bag cover?
I kinda hope I'm misunderstanding something here because 'dip is great for hard surfaces, for soft things there is upholstery dye spray.

It is common practice in theatre prop making to plasti dip soft, flexible props. It has always seemed to work just fine without cracking or flaking and some of those props endure a lot over the months of daily use in a musical and often get reused in future shows. It is maybe not the perfect product to use in OP’s situation but it’ll probably work fine.

As someone who has prayed at the Church of Fonzi for over a decade now, I love what plastidip can do for me.
But it's not really a good product in this application.
Upholstery spray dye will do a far better job while not sticking to itself and peeling. Dipping the canvas is not going to work like rubberized canvas. A healthy dye coat will freshen it up and not tear free after spening a few weeks or months heat cycling in it's storage sack.

They’ve already done it. I said it’s not the perfect product for this application but it’ll be fine. Sure won’t last as long as upholstery spray but what’s done is done. My point was it doesn’t only work on hard surfaces.

I think plasti dip is not the best paint to use for the awning bag? I bet that would peel in a few months. There should be a paint that would adhere better to the canvass bag, i believe the paint used in Hypalon or TPU dinghy boats is better.
Keep us updated how long the plasti dip would last.

If it peels I’ll re dip it from the same can. In the original post a “coatings expert” said this would never work. Someone else said it wouldn’t last a week (photo is a week later). I wish people would just not comment instead of chiming in with their made up advice

How’s the Starlink attached ? A strap around the awning ? I like the placement, but what do you do when you open the awning

We loved and miss our Prius dearly. Fantastic cars.
Thank you for posting about the plastidip. I just got an older RTT and the tarpaulin fabric has already been doctored on the inside but I know it’s got some holes and spots that aren’t great. So awesome idea. Thanks.

If I listened to [r/overlanding](r/overlanding) I would never leave my driveway. Now the only vehicles I fear are a 2000s Corolla or Camry
