Photo Album Custom built trailer from a salvage yard gladiator bed made painted match the 392 Rubicon towing it.

Trailer frame was custom designed and built from nothing more than an idea. Was originally Snazzberry Red, added a Decked unit, mid height bed rack, Roto Pax, Roam boxes, Road Shower, Power Tank mount for propane spare tire carrier . The Jeep just received a new Metal Cloak suspension and steering system. Every thing done in driveway style by a group of 4 wheeling friends.

Switch panel hidden behind that fuel door ... "chefs kiss"

That is beyond cool. It gives updated m104 jeep trailer vibes but in such a cool way. Good job!

Appreciate it

I don't dislike it or the idea but, and this is just me, not matching wheels and tires complicates logistics.

Also, Imagine using a complete D44 axle on the trailer, now you also have spare axle shaft and differential parts and even brakes if you were feeling it.

Wheels are on the way but probably sticking with 35s for the trailer rather than 37s

Keep everything the same size and then everything is a spare. Seems like common sense for an off-road trailer

When aired down on the trail, the 37 is the same size as a 35 so it’s more than capable of doing its job and getting you off trail. Plus, those 37” trail grapplers are about 90lbs- 95lbs a piece, not including the wheel. Always carry a bunch of plugs and compressor around to so it wouldn’t be an issue to do a repair or even reset the bead if needed

40’s is the only clear answer here

Maybe someday. 40s are always the goal for a crawler build. But first, a 60 up front, cryo frozen shafts, truss and an 80 in the rear. Yeah that would be nice. Might even handle the 500hp. Might wait till it’s not running dealer tags before that 🤣

Dealer tag shmealer tag

Jk. I have 33’s in my old jeep. Is getting a 4 link and deaver setup and i consider 35’s but i dont want the weight of it because i want highway drivability at the same time. However, 35’s would look so bitchin.

You can do 35s all day on the highway as long as you have a strong steering system, ball joints and stabilizer. Shouldn’t be enough weight to cause any issues assuming it’s in good shape.

I’ve been rocking without a stabilizer for almost 10 years. Sway bars as well. Steering is beefcake and I just got a OTA track bad and steering box brace to assist. Will be gusseting the knuckles for 35’s because I know I’m going to do it anyways

The switch panel behind the fuel door is the exact level of creativity I come to this subreddit for.

Might have stolen that idea in a slight way from Jeep. They had a concept build at EJS a while back with the compressor switch and air connections in there.

Nicely done!! I always wanted to do a similar trailer but ended up with a teardrop trailer instead that I lifted and modified like the Jeep. Just sold the Wrangler and matching Teardrop trailer. I’ll miss it but bought a Sprinter van. Just started working on that project now. I’ll miss the Jeep wave too.

Oh nice, full custom Sprinter builds are actually what I do professionally.

Vans are the right answer for like 90% of us, we just don’t wanna admit it.

NGL, I'm not a big Jeep guy but this is pretty badass...!

That is so cool.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

I’m constantly preaching use the same bolt pattern and tire size on your trailer as on your tow rig in case you run into trouble. I’m guessing you’ve nailed that!

1

u/hsd241 May 04 '26

Bolt pattern, yes. Tire size, no. 37s on the Jeep, 35s on the trailer. If necessary, a 35 will get you off trail as a spare for the Jeep. Put in on the back and it should be fine. Just have the other 37s aired down. I’ve had to do it before and didn’t have any issues.

1

u/Ok-Indication-9397 May 04 '26

Certainly a lot better option than the wrong bolt pattern.

I think I’m in love 😍 Dude, this is the sickest 🤘🤘

Nah you win. How much was thing said and done?

1

u/hsd241 May 04 '26

Oh man, the entire package? Jeep and trailer? Can’t quite say, would require going through all the receipts and statements for every single item. Including the shipment of steel for the trailer frame. That I would have to get back to you on.

u/Resident-Cockroach88 May 04 '26

Great job. It’s always impressive to see how creative people are. Strong work.

Just because I can type stuff

I want the 392 for literally just the sound they make, man they sound so amazing. I think I'm going to buy my friends low mile 2022 Eco Diesel and delete it instead but still on the fence. The Eco still has massive torque but gets 20-30mpg and has killer range for off road adventures. The 392 has such poor MPG ( Smiles per gallon I know) and the range when wheeling or over-landing just isn't there. Those 392s are amazing, I just can't get myself to pull the trigger. Granted I've seen some used ones for decent prices. Tough choice but I'm leaning on deleted/tuned diesel/dana44 and calling it a day. Love your color package and that trailer kicks ass.

2

u/Nightshade400 May 05 '26

Downside of the diesel rig is that diesel just hit $6 a gallon.

1

u/Pure-Disaster1084 May 07 '26

I'm in Washington state and it's $7 most places.

1

u/DonkeyEnergy May 04 '26

Very sweet looking but man that's gotta a heavy trailer.

2

u/hsd241 May 04 '26

Why’s that’s? One person can easily maneuver it around.

1

u/realaabremer May 04 '26

Very cool setup

1

u/Zip668 May 04 '26

Nitto's don't get enough love, I'm on my 3rd set.

1

u/National-Ordinary681 May 04 '26

So legit that it's color matched

1

u/CodInternational8023 May 06 '26

Dude that is pretty fucking cool
