An archway/cavern to the ocean, or the figure of a smiling/laughing man?
This is from the 1997 video game Dungeon Keeper (hence the poor quality), developed by Bullfrog Productions and published by Electronic Arts, on the level map.
For nearly 30 years, I just saw an archway to the ocean, but I recently noticed that it also seems to be the figure of a smiling/laughing man, making this a reversible figure optical illusion. The ocean is, in fact, the person's left arm/sleeve, and the cavern/shadow is actually his torso, etc. Unfortunately, I do not know who the figure is supposed to be (assuming it is actually supposed to be someone).
People elsewhere have been telling me that this is just pareidolia, but it isn't; pareidolia is where you see a face atop or within something. The form and identity of the thing you're looking at remain intact. This is not the case here; the elements can be remapped and reinterpreted to form entirely different and discrete things: the smiling/laughing man is not on top of or within the archway; it is the archway.

I've always wanted to see a proper visual explanation of The Dress, rather than just changing the exposure or white balance.
Couldn't find one, so I made this with AI and some manual color adjustments.
Basically, a blue/black dress in bright sunlight can look very similar to a white/gold dress in shadow. In the original photo, it was hard to tell whether the dress was in sunlight or shade.

title basically. whatās so special about this photo to make people see two different colours and how comes we have never done it again.
edit: removed the part of this post where i talk about the lighting explanation cause the comments seem to be missing the point. i just want to know why no other photo we know of seems to exhibit the same effect.

he sent a picture of his kitchen floor tiles but the pattern made it look like the floor was tilted. like the whole thing was sliding to one side. i stared at it on my phone and felt dizzy then i went to my own kitchen, stood on my floor, looked down and did not feel dizzy. walked back to his picture, dizzy again. it works on me. he said that is because your brain is lazy. it reads the pattern and does not check the physics. i said my brain is not lazy, it is sensitive'. he said that is the same thing. my friend sent a picture of a floor and i stood on my own floor for five minutes and did not feel safe and that is now a flex, that is a problem. i still do not trust my kitchen floor when i look at his picture first.
