Remaster Bug Help What are your thoughts on Skyblivion?
I was looking at this thread and it seems to have a mixed reception, with some saying the remaster is enough? I am personally excited for it.

I keep hearing this noise in the Deepscorn Hollow cattle room that sounds like an item collision. I reset the cell many times and moved around the skeletons, but it didn't work. If anyone knows a solution, it would be much appreciated because it's driving me crazy.

Also don't get too close and he'll just stare at you. This mage is not working, just meandering around and attending parties.

I'm thinking of getting a Windows tablet to play older games on specifically with touchscreen controls, but not sure if the experience would be enjoyable or frustrating.
Has anyone tried Oblivion with touch screen controls? Was it janky and annoying? Was it okay? Was it surprisingly good?
Thanks for any answers! :)

Months ago I tried my hand into modding Oblivion. Naturally, it completely broke down my game, but I was reaching the end of my play through so I didn’t really care. This weekend I suddenly had an intense need to play Oblivion again. The game would close as soon as I pressed the play button. I tried everything, deleting the .ini file, desinstalling the game, changing its directory location… NOTHING worked, up until I rebooted and wiped every files on my computer. Took me 5 hours ! I’m so relieved and I am NEVER nodding anything ever again on that game…

Hello. So I'm trying to use in game method to put a permanent dead body at somewhere.
Among permanent dead bodies some are already died people or beasts I guess, when the game starts.

This town is pretty dangerous for beast races but with all the guards on the lookout for Khajiit it helps that to imperials we all look the same!
Also, Pally is doing his best to act natural but walking casually into a wall isn’t doing any favors.
Hail citizens. I get why this place gets a bad rap. The guards are all on alert as our poor Khajiit beggar just found out. At least he took care of the mythic dawn guy. Just keep blending in everyone. We basically are gonna do stuff in town while doing our best to avoid attention. So far so good!

In FilmDeg Miniatures' 10-hour interviews (link has timestamp), Kurt Kuhlmann, the quest designer for the final iteration of the main quest, claims that in Ken Rolston's original main quest, the player would have given the Amulet of Kings to Ocato instead of Jauffre, but Ocato would have been Mankar Camoran in disguise and that was how the player would lose the Amulet of Kings.
I think this makes Jauffre losing the Amulet of Kings more understandable from a writing perspective. Kuhlmann explains that it would be too cheap and out-of-the-blue for Ocato to betray the player, but if it was foreshadowed, the "decision" to give him the Amulet would be forced on the player. So, he changed it to the player handing the Amulet to Jauffre in good faith, since Jauffre is not evil and intends to keep the Amulet of Kings safe. It's just that the plot requires the bad guys to get the Amulet of Kings, so Jauffre ends up being horribly incompetent.
I know that it's been 20 years since the release of Oblivion, and Kuhlmann may just be remembering things wrong, but I opened up the Construction Set and there is some evidence that supports Ocato actually being Mankar Camoran, or being evil at the very least. Ocato has his own "Combat Style", which is unusual, considering most NPCs just use a shared default combat style, and unique combat styles are for boss NPCs like Mehrunes Dagon, Jyggalag, or Mankar Camoran. This implies that you were supposed to fight Ocato at some point.
So maybe Kuhlmann is right about the original main plot. On one hand, the High Elf chancellor who holds the same position as Jagar Tharn secretly being evil would have been incredibly predictable. Kuhlmann says he gave Mankar Camoran the motive of creating Paradise in order to make him a better villain. But if the main quest had really leaned into "evil High Elf doing evil because he's evil", maybe it would have been so over-the-top it would have been funny?

I’m currently doing the quest in Skyrim where you’re married to a HagRaven. And idk much about Skyrims lore (Apart my favorite THE GIANTS!! Their lore is so amazing and I love them so dearly ANYWAYS.) I know they do the dark arts and I guess that’s evil. But like are HagRaven’s actually evil. Not just because they do a “forbidden magic” like necromancy or whatever they do😭. But from an objective level. Because everyone has there bias in Skyrim so it does feel far to assume. Are there any Good HagRaven? What makes them bad? Can someone become a HagRaven be evil then become good after sometime? Do HagRavens know they’re evil? or is it the “forbidden magic”?

Playing Remaster on PS5. I followed some advice from this sub to get Gukimir to stop following me around.
After I had him knocked unconscious at the Priory of the Nine, I fast traveled to the Imperial City Waterfront. No sign of him. So I fast traveled again to Cheydinhal. He then respawned so I reloaded back to the Waterfront.
Instead of fast traveling again, I ran all the way to Cheydinhal and went straight to the Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary. I completed that storyline already so I commanded the initiate follow me. Went back up to the city and I dismissed the follower back to the Sanctuary.
I fast traveled to my Battlehorn Castle home. No Gukimir. Played for like another hour with various fast travels and still haven’t seen him. I think the dismissal of the follower fixes the issue, so hopefully this works permanently!
Edit: please let me know if you try it and it doesn’t work. Just hoping for a good fix because this one is super annoying.
Edit 2: it worked for a little bit but he respawned randomly in an Oblivion cave with a +2 disposition and a bad attitude.
