Remaster Bug Help Fighters Guild is bugged like crazy

two achievements off of finishing the game and this has nuked me I think ;-; ive gone through every room systematically and killed everything in there and yet… quest will not continue :’(

I had this happened in Oblivion OG - I fast-travelled to a nearby town, came back, went into the room with the dead villagers, and then it suddenly decided the quest was complete.

Maybe one of the trolls spawned out of bounds. Try traveling away, resting for 24 hours and then coming back.

In the original, there were a total of 15 trolls in that cave and getting them all was required for the quest to advance. I usually took the troll fat from each troll to keep the count (to avoid missing any). You might try collecting the troll fat and see how many you have.

This happened to me and the troll spawned by the escape ladder at the very end. I've seen reports of him also spawning outside the area altogether, might be worth leaving through that part and see if he's around.
