I have pretty much zero idea of what anyone is talking about in this thread, and I think that's because I'm old, and that, as such, this is OK. And, rather than FOMO, I have nothing but a kind smile and a wave as I head on to the next post.

FNaF is a horror game. It has a pretty weird fanbase and is often associated with young kids, so a lot of weird people bully other people for liking it.

Nope. But since I expressed interest towards a FNaF fan game, I apparently support donating money to him since Scott Cawthon did that in 2020. That’s the extent of the DM’s context.

Yeah, in 2020 public records revealed that he donated about $200 $2000 to Trump, alongside more donations towards other Republican politicians. I mean, he’s a devout Christian so it’s not all that surprising.

As a matter of fact, the backlash from that was a key factor as to why he “retired” from game development around that time.

Well I can't in good conscience say that "he's made up for it", especially since his statements afterwards are defiant and not regretful in the slightest. Donation to a pro-LGBTQ+ charity is nothing compared to supporting campaigns that go directly against that, and what's more, for institutional power.
