Alpaka-inspired wallet

Just finished a new wallet I had done before about half a year ago, but since I used an aliexpress x-pac knockoff for that one, it’s already worn quite a bit.

Also, I recently received some Ecopak 600 in Multicam black, and thought it might look good with this fabric. Which I think it does, I’m very happy with the result.

Edit: I didn’t have any matching cord for the zipper pulls any more, so I had to use this green one in order to avoid using pink cord lol

Yes, it definitely is. I got lucky with it, because this was the last half meter from a leftovers sale and it’s out of stock everywhere.

Great job, especially those pulls! If. I knew you, I’d have swapped you some other colour cord as I just bought a range of colours, for a tiny favour to show me how to make them. 🙂

Thanks!
Yes, I really need to go get some new cord, too.
Actually, those pulls are fairly easy to make, they only take an unreasonably long time to make for such a minor detail. But I really like them, too.
If you want to make those, all you’ll need to know are two kinds of knots, the monkey’s fist on one end and the hangman’s knot on the other end. But be aware that one can take half an hour to make, even with practise.

That looks great! Especially the bright blue interior. Is the side pocket big enough for a credit card/ID?

I've been looking for wallets like this for years, but everything I find is too big and not "minimalist' enough.

Thanks!
The side pocket should be big enough for credit cards or ID, but I’m using it for coins.

Prior to making one of these, I always used folding wallets, but now I love the simplicity of it. If you want to do it yourself, Miko Craft on YouTube offers a free pattern to his video tutorial. It’s almost identical to this one, but it’s even smaller.

The colors (including the pulls) look great together and all the stitching is insanely tidy. Nice work!

Thanks!
With the stitching I sometimes get lucky (seam below the zipper) and sometimes not so much (seam above the zipper) lol
