Question 2 person Bug Tent for Tarp.

A tarp with bug bivy is one of my favourite solo setups, but I'm thinking that I'd love to make a 2-person mesh inner for camping with one of my kids.

I have a 3Mx2.8M Sil-poly Tarp I'd use with it.

Has anyone made one of these before and happen to have a decent pattern setup? Or could direct me to one. I'll jump on Sketchup if not.

i have had the same idea for a while, i've made a sketchup based on the escapist, but a slightly higher and solid back and more generous dimensions.

But i am having issues getting a decent priced supply of fabric for the base and their is no great weight advantage of it over my tent, so it would be just for shits and giggles

I just stumbled over 2 sketchup models for tarp tents in the sketchup 3d warehouse.

There are tarp tent models including the inner tents and a model of the durston x-mid including the inner.

Since you seem to be familiar with sketchup, you could derive a pattern from it.

Edit: here’s even a pattern for a 2P tarp tent including the inner.
