Project Pictures Absolutely loving my Singer 201k + Tiny pouch

It's been a couple of years since I've had a machine, but found this for £15 at a charity shop. A set of bobbins later and I've made a tiny zipper pouch for my wife to keep her keys and headphones in so they don't get lost in her bag!

How do you get the machine into that small pouch? 🤔

I have an extra 201, maybe two. I just have too many machines!

The trick is to turn it inside out first!

I meant storing the machine in the pouch! 😆

Those are some tiny stitches, but they look super nice! What a steal for £15.

Super useful comment, just looked closer at the machine and it turns out the stitch length is adjustable but all the markings had worn off. Adjusted it to a slightly more normal stitch length now!

Right on! Repaint it by hand. Could be a solid rainy day project. On my machines the dial number is the stitch length in mm’s. Topstitches are usually a 4 but I’m started to widen that to a 6 if it’s on a bigger piece.

That's handy to know, thanks! Being in the UK it's all rainy days until next year now, sure I'll find time 😂

I have the same machine, it’s so reliable!

Wasn't expecting the stitching to be so neat, my last Singer was a 99k and it feels miles ahead in terms of stitch quality.

I've got the same machine, just put a motor on it (£60) and it sews like a dream!

This one used to have a motor but it was missing when I bought it, managed to source a hand crank from a seized up 99k and it bolted straight on! They're really nice machines, super solid feeling.
