Project Pictures Laptop Sleeve Made from Scraps
Put my box full of scraps to use and made this laptop sleeve to take on a work trip. Holds a 16 in laptop, an iPad, various cords. This was my first time using Fidlock snaps, what a cool piece of hardware.

Yay for using scraps! Your resulting bag looks great.
Kudos from another scrapper : )

Super cool! I always wondered when people make patchwork panels like this, what do you do with the seem? I figured you'd have to topstitch it so there wouldn't be any flopping around in there

Yeah I used seam tape on the back cause I like the look of it better without the top stitch

Lovely work. Clearly patchwork, but looks so very intentional in the layout. Love the pop of highlighter yellow you used as well.

Thank you! You’re correct, I designed the layout beforehand and hunted for scraps that were around the correct size

That is super dope! Would you want to make another one? I would definitely buy something that could hold my laptop and iPad together, especially if it looked like this

This is amazing! Did you follow a pattern for the bag itself? Looking to take on something like this, just less creative!

I made the pattern, it’s pretty simple. Just two panels the same size with a flap attached

Nice work! Did you get the Fidlock mag button tooling? I need to get them!

Not exactly sure what you’re talking about, I just got a 5 piece sample from A Plus Products and installed by hand

I really love this! Any notes or guidance before undertaking something similar? What is it lined with?
