Project Pictures This Saturday’s quick project

I already had cut the panels a while back but didn’t finish it because of a lack of fitting zipper pulls sliders. They arrived this morning, so finally I could finish it.

This fanny pack it’s based on a pattern by [u/sugarshackforge](u/sugarshackforge) (thanks once again for your patterns, this is at least the third time I’m using one of yours), but I altered it so it can be used as a hip belt pocket, too.

Materials:
• Ultra 200X
• 40D double ripstop nylon (liner)
• generic stretch mesh (inner pocket)
• 3D hex mesh
• first time using Gütermann Mara 70 (for those who read my other post today, lol)

This is super cool! I love the modifications you made. I honestly forgot that I put this pattern out there for people to use.

Thanks! It was fun to make because it’s relatively straightforward but a little finicky to get right. The webbing loops for example, I seem to have messed that up, but it still works when attaching to a hip belt.
I made this with leftovers of a backpack I’m currently working on, so it’ll be a perfect fit.

Yeah I.kind of stopped making this style because it was a pain in the butt to make

I wish ultra200x was easier to buy in my country. By far the best looking fabric imo.

Yes, it really does look cool!
But it’s really freaking expensive. I’ve hesitated for long to buy it and only bought it because it was on sale as a B-grade. Now I’m even more looking forward to make a backpack with it that I bought it for.

Yeah likewise, only seller in the UK is sold out and it’s like £60 a metre! I’d love to make a pack out of it but as a newish maker I didn’t want to spend so much until I knew a pack was within my skill level.

Made my first pack last week and it went great so maybe if it ever comes back in stock I’ll go for it!

I bought this at Adventurexpert, because it was on sale, as mentioned above. With customs etc it might still be cheaper than that if you don’t mind slight colour errors, which I don’t.
I too waited for enough confidence in my skills to make one from such an expensive fabric.
Also, I figured if the backpack project fails, I could just disassemble it and use the fabric for smaller projects
