It’s one of the great deliberately misnamed subreddits. Similar to how r/trees and r/marijuanaenthusiasts are for marijuana and arborists respectively. Mixing up the words homophobia and heterochromia is strangely common.

Just so you know, I’m a licensed vetnurse and every time we get one of these guys in the hospital, I always say the patient has homophobia in her eyes, and then giggle

It's fucking lame.

My rescue we've had for like 10 years passed away just over a month ago and I was really beat up and wanting to post to talk to people about it, but taking a look it was all so much bot shit. It felt insincere having him in all that slop and I'd rage if I saw some bot post of him down the line.

You are too smart for the reddit hivemind. Heterophilia means love of the opposite, and homophobia means hate of the same, which are expressed by the cat having opposite colored eyes.
