I have a son in a wheelchair. When we encounter shit like this, it puts my blood pressure through the roof. He's too young to appreciate that people are selfish and oblivious. So... more than "mildly infuriating..."
I have a family member in a wheelchair, and I'm not above pulling the pin, putting the hitch in the bed, and throwing the pin into the grass. If they are going to be an oblivious asshole, I'm at least going to make them go out of their way to buy another one out of spite.
I think so. I mean a stronger way to send the message would be a key across the tailgate, but *that's* too far in my opinion and not a balanced approach.
You are what’s wrong with this world. A lot of people don’t realize their truck hitch could cause problems like this. People have different stories for everything in life, so we don’t know the stories of each truck. We don’t know if this is near a boat launch or near a tourist area where someone towed a trailer up. Some people forget they have the hitch on. You call people “oblivious asshole” but I’m sure you’ve been an “oblivious asshole” to someone else. If something like this upsets you this much, I advise you to seek mental help and get into something that helps you get your problems out.
People are responsible for their stuff that they place into public areas. Simple as. Everyone needs to take responsibility for their journey through public space, and remember others.
Just letting assholes be assholes without consequence is what’s wrong with this world. Tolerance for the intolerant has let the intolerant assholes have rule of the roost and just do whatever they want whenever they want at the expense of the tolerant.
People who don't realize essentially parking ON the sidewalk is a problem are selfish morons and deserve no sympathy in regards to a minor inconvenience. Hitch aside, parking the truck so far back that the bed in on the sidewalk is still a problem.
We can see that this photo was taken at a steakhouse, not a boat launch.
You're the type of person who says "oopsie, I didn't know" and expects everyone else to think for you. Being considerate is a proactive thinking process. You are not that.
I don't care what the story is of each truck. For all I know their deceased grandmother bequeathed them the pin that gets thrown into the weeds.
What I do know is that the Venn diagram of "the people who park like this" and "the people who get indignant when you politely ask them to not do it" is closer to a circle than anyone would care to admit. That's assuming they're anywhere around at the time.
It's not my job to teach them the local law, or the implications that their suburbitank has when they park like an asshole.
