I‘m not even a woman ☕️ /s, but i keep my creams, serums and general beauty stuff out all the time, why would i put it away if i use it every day??
Do you also put away your toothbrush and paste every night? Do you put your shower gel and shampoo in a box under the sink?

I do all of those things and I'm realising that I might be in the minority. This thread has been eye opening.

Right? All my stuff (except face wash, because it won't fit) is in my bathroom cabinet above the sink. Shampoo and soap stay in the shower, obviously, but there's nothing around or on the sink except hand soap and face wash. This is how I grew up, lol.

The opposite is how I grew up, which I think is why I live the way I do now!

I have a huge mirror and huge counter space around the sink but no cabinet so everything sits on the counter. I do have little trays and ways to organize it.

The thought of having to put away and take out stuff I use everyday makes my eye twitch

I'm already drained from just thinking about all the extra tasks those steps add to already hard-to-finish daily routines. Brushing my teeth with extra steps? No thanks

My depression laughs at even the thought of me doing this.

At least we are in clean organized minority haha. If I keep all my things like this on the sink, I will never clean it as often as it needs to be cleaned, and I will leave in dirt. I used to live like this but gladly found better solution for myself.

I mean the shower stuff stays in the shower but I don't leave my stuff all over the counter, that would look so messy. Stuff gets put back after I use it, including toothbrush and toothpaste.

Matter of fact I do. My autism doesn't let me have visual pollution on a 'clean/cleaning area'. :/

I don't see this as a mess either, but this is very dubious logic. There are plenty of things we use every day but we still put away when we're not using them.

It takes one more second of time to put my creams/etc. in the cupboard above my toilet as it does to leave them on the countertop. And it creates a much cleaner environment. Bathroom counters get dirty quickly. It's a lot easier to just be cleaning the counter than to be cleaning the counter and everything piled on it.

Yea I agree. The “does she have ADHD” comments are annoying too. Not everything is neurodivergent.

That's totally fine. If you don't have 43 different items you use for that

I put. That's what the cabinet behind your mirror is for. When I had no cabinet behind mirror where I rented, I had to put all my things in the buckets to keep on the sink. The reason is because the bathroom sink becomes dirty very quickly, and taking all those things out one by one is more tiring if you want to have bathroom clean. I recommended those organizer buckets above in the comment.

I am a woman and yes I put away all my things every night, including my tooth brush because I dislike clutter.

He can’t event do that cuz there is literally no storage

You've discovered men logic 🤯 thats why we leave shit everywhere. We gonna need it soon anyways

I put things away cuz i don’t have space but i would love to have more easy access to all the stuff i use, which is a few since i’m a woman with long hair. Makes me use less stuff cuz i hate extra steps

I put them all in the cupboard? So…yes?

Why would you put shower gel and shampoo under the sink, as opposed to just leaving it in the shower?

I do my facial routine and put all of my stuff away, in the medicine cabinet, every single day. Take a product down to use it, put it right back in the cabinet afterwards. Once it's on the cotton pad or my fingers, there's no need for it to sit on the counter at all. That's not something that takes a lot of effort. My medicine cabinet is my countertop. The only extra step required is....opening the door. That doesn't mean there aren't things I leave out. My toothbrush and tongue scraper, both in cases. Cotton pads and floss picks in clear containers. Hand soap ofc, body lotion, deodorant, and sunscreen. They don't take up much space.

My wife is the opposite. Her countertop is a mess. I don't care because I don't have to deal with it; separate bathrooms ftw.
