Bad Joke Guys I think theres something wrong with this Stone Rhino
The Diamond Shark dealership swears it's a standard model, but the interface is entirely in Japanese, and I swear someone scratched out the original serial number and word "Konig" in the cockpit.

Bad Joke This has become increasingly apparent to me after much playtime
I’d rather be slow with a big gun, than fast with a small gun.

I am currently in the process of upgrading my Xbox lance with full SR-6 for the extra armour and shield arms. I saw a stone rhino and engaged it beyond scanner range. That wasnt a problem. Two of my lancemates decide the free trial of living had expired for this pilot.

Discussion Don’t talk to me or my sons ever again..
Just a moment to appreciate the Sun Spider bein Locust/Flea but big 😂
I know the Sun Spider isn’t the best option there is, but I love it 💛 Is dumb stompy boi but I just love the look of it, and the Hero’s actually pretty decent imo. I run it with the AMS, 2x CER L Lasers and 3x CH M Lasers and it takes heads real good.
Mind you the one there with 6x LAC 5 is stupid fun too 😂 not for long missions though, I haven’t got enough ammo in it for that 🤣 but in the Arena or a Raid mission it does work 👌🏻

Discussion Has anyone done a playthrough from 3015 covering all the DLCs up until the end of Ashes and Ascension? How was it and did you become overpowered?
I'm curious abot those who took the full Mercenaries experiences from 3015 onwards and how it was to play through the whole game. Weren't you quickly overpowered? And had like a massive company of mechs by 3049 once DLC7 hits?

MISC When a battle goes great vs when a battle goes fine
Both from A&A campaign missions.
Both had repair bays.
Builds (because people will ask):
Marauder-BH2 - Clan tech version of the stock variant. Bounty Hunter had great taste and I made it better.
Summoner - An arena fighter with Clan AC-20X and PPC-X. It rips things apart.
Quickdraw-4P - Clan upgrade of stock variant, upgrades put in speed and fire rate. Took me 60 hours to find this variant, and its quite underwhelming.
Vulture - Heavy gauss sniper and fire support. My personal Vulture build, and the AI can't seem to use it.
Executioner - Rapid response assault sniper with gauss and twin PPCs. For rushing assassinations before lunch time.
Sunder-O - Missile boat. You can imagine what I did.
King Crab-001 - Clan variant AC20s, LRM-20s with NARC and an emotional support large pulse. Walking weapons platform. She broke it real bad. :(

General Game Questions/Help Agincourt advice?
I picked up Agincourt in my current run and decided to give it a whirl for the first proper time (I've used it once or twice in the past, but never had much interest/investment). I do like the general feel and the weapons loadout, but I'm running into durability issues, even if with maxed armour.
I'm pretty sure this comes with how the Mech works, because it is A: a burst-damage beast, and B: an Archer.
So big damage plus wide, boxy chassis, means a lot of aggro going toward an easily-hit target. The biggest targets have been the side-torsos, and I usually come back with the armour stripped off one of them.
So can people who play more with Agincourt tell me how to get this Mech better? Because I do wanna use it going forward.

If there's a better brawler than Samual, I gotta know. Runs irresponsibly cool, absolutely devastating at close range.

Discussion Alright, how do you pilot your mech?
Finished printing a set of rudder pedals and got my old Saitek x45 to play nice with windows. Using joystick Gremlin + vjoy. (Going to work on Linux compat next)
Would love to see what everyone else is using to play.
Be it joysticks, controllers, keyboard/mouse, or neurohelmets!
Post it up and let's see it!
(quick and dirty rundown of what's needed to build the pedals, will work on cleaning it up better: https://github.com/cmdrscotty/Rudder_Pedals)

Discussion I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU
For the longest time these turds in the sky have been a plague to my existence. Kerensky help you is your torso doesn’t rotate high enough to zap these birds. Even more recently with the buff to autocannons, they’ll engage taking pot shots before they get into sensor range. I’ve always taken fly swatting pretty seriously. When building a mech, ideally you’d want a weapon solely for add clearing. ESPECIALLY WHEN THERES MULTIPLE IGORS IN THE SKY I HATE YOU I HATE YOU I HATE YOU 🤦

Request Does buying up heromechs increase the chance for other ones?
I seem to be in a glut of 3025 ones (and in 3080 or so)… I assume so but if anyone has done the diligence on this, it would be much appreciated!

DLC Question MAD IICs X&Y variants
So far I found 3 Ys and a single X variant of MAD IICs, after a week of play Mercs with DLC 9. Been wondering what's the background of these two variants, looks like a version introduced by PGI? One of the best paint schemes so far in the game.

Discussion Anyone else miss how weapons and especially the lasers worked Mechwarrior 3?
I've been looking at remembering some time I played of MW3, I remember the regular lasers and some other weapons had to be held down to do damage, giving a lot of control to the pilot
The pulse lasers were just a quick single flash
I know the change was for balance reasons, but I wish someone would make a mod for that.

Mech Builds Spirit Walker A Replica Build
Hey folks. I am a big fan of the Spirit Walker (I am a Clanner at heart) and wanted to make a bit of a roleplay build for a co-op file. Below is my attempt to recreate the Spirit Walker A on the Partisan Black Knight, even if I cannot use put Machine Guns on the chassis. I do not know how good it will be, but I wanted to share anyway.

DLC Question Question for the Devs: Academy patterns; rhyme or reason?
I have a lot of experience save scumming pilots. And I do mean, a lot. Like if it was a job that paid hourly, I'd have to report the income on my taxes.
Overtime I've noticed patterns in the RNG cycle, and as of AoA, it all changed.
Specifically around the Gunslinger Program. I've been putting pilots through the program and save scumming like hell. I've noticed a few things with this particular program, and I wondering if it's intentional or just RNG.
First thing, and the most obvious: Just about everything is a Weapon Trait. I kid you not, I've save scummed at least 100 times on the Gunslinger program graduation, and I've only seen a Mech Affinity like six times. EVERYTHING is a weapon trait. I assume this is Gunslinger's trait bias?
Second off, Triple and Double traits. Holy guacamole, batman. Used to be the norm was 1 or two traits on Graduation, very rarely a third. All of the sudden, I can't get less 2 Traits per graduation, which is more of a hinderance than a help as far as optimization is concerned, but good grief: I've rolled 3x Elite Traits in one graduation. Before AoA I'd very rarely roll 2x Elite traits, and most of those duos included a Clan Mech Affinity. What is with this new trait spam, and can we PLEASE turn it off? Save scumming was hard enough when we were just trying to isolate 1 trait at a time; it's now borderline impossible to get what you want when you pull 3 random traits per graduation. Hell, it's made trying to get multiple academy graduates on a Pilot borderline impossible when the first Graduate Program sucks up 4 of your 6 traits. This is gawdawful; can we PLEASE go back to just zero to two RNG traits per graduation?
3rd: Trait Packages. I have noticed some reoccurring trait combos coming out of Gunslinger. I keep getting Auto-cannon Master 2/5/10/20 with Autocannon Specialist and Laser Specialist with Precision. Like to the point it's statistically impossible to keep rolling this combo. But it keeps happening. It's like there's a "trait package deal", you roll one trait, it's guaranteed to be accompanied by the other. Not that I'm opposed to this if true, but is it actually a design intention or am I just getting whacky unlikely RNG when I don't want it?
Any explanation to how this all works, what the actual biases are for each graduation program, and what I can do to limit the amount of Traits I get from academies? This guaranteed 2-3 traits per graduation is the worst addition to the game since Artillery could hit you in the drop ship at mission start.
