Offtopic: I wonder why the post about Linus Torvalds making kernel features with AI coding was removed a couple days ago. It feels like a relevant discussion to have these days so why remove it?

Probably because generates a lot of pointless discussion

People that love AI will rejoice People that hate AI will complain People that dont love AI but uses at work will say "its a tool like any other"

Some people will comment that Linus was already a "vibe coder" because he asked for features and then a human would make that feature for him, and then he would review just like a feature made by a LLM

And then this would repeat forever

The only tool that it feels reminiscent of is outsourcing or offshoring
