Rule clarification- No Breed ID

Apparently, we need some clarification here about what constitutes a breed ID post.

Asking what your lab is mixed with- lab mixes are allowed, but don't crowd source opinions on what they're mixed with. Asking if your lab looks pure bred. Asking what color variation your lab is.

Sincerely -your mod team.

Rule clarification - No AI

We realized we had been enforcing this under the "Your dog only" rule without being as explicit as we should have. Do not post AI generated images, videos, or text in this sub. It is a place to post your dog as it naturally is. This includes comment replies on posts.

This little soul has changed my entire life. Without even realizing it, I was so self-centered, impatient, and inflexible. She taught me patience, and what real, genuine love truly feels like. We’ve learned to understand each other, and somewhere along the way, she understood me just as much as I understood her.
She’s only 10 months old, and yet the love I feel for her is already beyond words. My God, how lucky I am that she chose me. I’m so grateful for everything we’ve shared so far, and even more grateful for all the years, adventures, and memories we still have ahead of us. She’s my life companion, and I can’t imagine my life without her anymore.
Let’s cherish our babies and take good care of them. They deserve all the love, patience, and kindness in the world.

He had a really good training session today. Retrieving to hand and not goofing around. We’ve been working through a little keep-away-itis. And I think what a big dog. And then he sits and looks at me like this.😂

He has to wear a cone because he had a hot spot on his head and two interdigital cysts on each front paw.
He is such a good boy!

59 days ago I posted that my Lab puppy was not making my life miserable like so many I’ve seen here.

Well she’s just 9 days short of 7 months now and still just about perfect.

Of course she’s still a baby so I have to keep a close eye on her but she’s still really well behaved and loving. No destructive behaviors at all.

That may all change at some point but I’ll be very surprised.

Lab doing lab things My husband says I have a problem. — I buy too many dog toys. I agree. We do have a problem, but the problem is that toy bin is too small🤔. We need a bigger toy bin😁!!

Rainbow bridge🌈 Gemma: 8.5 yrs old. Her body is riddled with arthritis and she has lost her legs. Tomorrow she sleeps forever, today we love and celebrate the sweet girl we were blessed to have in our lives.

She is my first dog that I raised, trained and loved more than anything else. I love her enough to end the suffering and let her complete a wonderful and beautiful life.

In two days time it will be two months since I lost my lab. I have struggled to say the least. I can't express to people how I have felt as it's only ' a dog' or 'a pet'. I have lost several labs, pets, friends and family members and none have ever hit me this hard.

I am not a religious or spiritual person but part of me feels gone, I found out about a 'soul dog' and I truly believe she was this. From the moment I got her we just felt linked, I was never worried when she ran off, I knew where she was, I could tell what she was thinking, we were connected.

Every day, I drop my dog off at my parents house before me and my partner go to work and I hate being there, it isn't home any more. I won't see her again in this life and I can't understand it.

I don't know how to cope with this loss. She took a part of me that I will never get back.

First time dog owner here.

The two boys often play like this with our lab girl. But does she like it or should I tell them to stop?

I mean she is wiggling with her tail like she likes it but then she is licking her lips and nose and tries to bite hands.

She is 7 month old, english or showlinie lab.

seeking advice Arthritis prevention?

I have a 3.5 yo male lab. He is very active and lean. But from being too active, sometimes he gets stiffness in one of his front legs. This is mostly noticeable getting up after laying down for a while.
I am cautious about arthritis in labs and i want to make sure i do what i can at an early age so Charlie can feel good as long as possible.
Do you have any tips like medications, diet, or something else that may have positive effect on his joints?
