media related mugshots
I know this might be totally stupid, but is there a way to display different mugshots for actors and actresses when viewing them inside different movies and series' information pages?

like this but with mugshot change per cast member per movie. like when an actor looks totally different in the movie from real life i can recognize him from how his character looks in the movie.

Most Actors always want to be seen in the best light, and usually vet the images with their publicists. Most of the images in Kodi can be exchanged manually with fan provided pictures. I have noted some of the mug-shot images with character changes over time, it's one of those issues in which, what is available publicly associated with the various media?
Note the image I left, indicated 16 pics..
Surely that's enough to get the idea of who your true love is? Of course someone might make an add-on that would knock on the door of the publicists agent and demand a more compressive portfolio and make it available to an online source.

you're missing my point

all main characters have their mugshots. it doesn't have to be like this, all i want is a frame(preferably multiple frames) from the movie itself with the character face clear and linked to the name of the actor.
i suffer when trying to identify characters from old movies because of this, contemporary mugshots are basically useless unless i remember the character's name or the plot includes workable details.

This is really not a Kodi issue, but a call for more images representing the actors. Indeed the set-up I mentioned does include most of available images from various meta-data sites. In most cases it includes different ages.
As noted: customization is possible. We don't want you to suffer, in Canada we have MAID for that.

Yes, you can either scrape them like most people do, or you can store the images locally. I do local storing of fanart, poster, clearlogo, clearart and banner. Check the kodo wiki for image size and storage location and formats.
