KODI Screensaver Plane Arrivals

Post image

I got tired of seeing other people vibe coding their own Kodi add-ons. And I really wanted my own personal one.

I live under a flight path, planes going overhead all the time. I wanted a Kodi screensaver that shows me planes arriving so I'll know which one is going over my house.

So no need to share it here just go to Claude and create your own

my prompt:

I run Kodi 21.3 on Generic PC, LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-12.2.1
write a text based screensaver which pulls information of
planes landing at MEL Melbourne airport show distance to airport
and update every 30 seconds save as my-screensaver.zip

This idea is so cool for an airport nerd like myself. You've given me so many different ideas. Use the soonest arrival plane type as the backdrop is a minimum upgrade... but it could be so much more. Show where that plane came from before and where it's heading? Stats on the plane? Of course this is less of a screensaver at this point.
