Hello! I’m a first-timer doing Kickstarter and maybe its the anxiousness/overthinking but would it be better to avoid Halloween since people might be busy or does it not matter?

Context my project is a horror audio drama so it def fits with the vibes of Halloween but I just wanted other opinions!

Hi, I’m currently setting up my first campaign, which involves digital files to be delivered to backers. Since I’m new to this, I’m not really sure how the process works.

Do I upload them to the platform, and does it handle distribution based on the rewards selected?

Or do I have to send them manually to all the backers?

Could you shed some light on this? I don’t want to let down the people who trust my work or cause them any inconvenience just because I’m unfamiliar with the process.

I've been looking at a few crowdfunded hardware products and trying to figure out how much weight to put on their campaign numbers as a potential buyer. A strong campaign sounds encouraging, but I'd probably care more about whether the products actually ship as promised, how the final versions turn

Firstlight is a small beta community where new makers get the same launch-discovery eligibility as established users. Approved launches enter a seven-day rotation; likes, followers and payment don’t boost ranking.

We currently have 4 beta testers and 4 launches. I’m looking for 5 more makers to try one simple task: create a private product draft with a screenshot and one question you want testers to answer.

Then tell me where you got stuck or what would make the community useful enough to revisit. Publishing is optional. Fair eligibility doesn’t guarantee views or feedback; the community is still small.

Interested? Comment what you’re building. I’ll answer questions here and follow up with access once the Reddit link issue is resolved.
