Upgrading from 15 Pro Max which was the first iPhone I never felt the need to upgrade. Even now, I just traded in my old 12 Pro Max as my wife wanted to keep my 15 PM. Literally was available for pickup the next day in Germany.
I don't know how durable this is or how prone to scratches and damage this is. But for now - sure as hell loving the classy black look! 🖤

I wanted to get the burgundy but was impatient and went with black and don't regret it t all. Old phone had a dbrand leather skin but decided to get a walnut wood case this time.

I know some of you may say that it’s working flawlessly for you, but it’s been horrible for me. I’ve had the iPhone 18 pro for three days, and the Face ID NEVER works when I wake up in the morning. It also doesn’t work at certain angles when I’m lying down.
I upgraded from an iPhone 12 Pro, and I can confidently say that the 12 pro’s Face ID worked 100% better than the 18 pro’s. I’ve attempted to reset it but to no avail. I’m at my wits end with this.

This is an interesting take on the durability of the new phone. It’s not enough to make me go without any sort of case, but it is somewhat comforting. I suppose.

We're moving from Samsung S20FE5G's. We got our 18 Pro's yesterday, and my data transfer went fine (I have one messaging group I'm part of), but on my wife's phone the data transfer doesn't seem to have picked up group text history. Is there something I did wrong?
Also, on the wife's phone, it seems like many of the videos and pics were replicated when transferred. She's highly annoyed.

Like Faceid issues or camera issues

Swapped back to the regular Glacier 18 Pro because the Max was way too heavy and bulky for one-handed use.
The tradeoff: I game heavily, so I need to charge it twice a day. My old 17 Pro Max hit 91% health after 316 cycles.
For those with similar habits, will the 18 Pro survive 1.5 years without dropping below 80% or throttling hard? Anyone else running this setup?

Just got my black iPhone 18 Pro, earlier than expected, earlier than the case.
So I’ve been using it without a case.
I’ve gotta say. The finger print smudges don’t look that bad/ that obvious in real life.

So a couple weeks back the 18 Pro arrived, and the charger next to my bed has a tiny screen on it showing how many watts are going into the phone, which i love!
Every charge goes the exact same way. Huge numbers for roughly the first 15 minutes, up to about 50%, and then the watts nosedive to a fraction and those final 20% drag on and on (ive gotten into the habit of following it like its the playoffs!)
Phone or charger, which one is behind that? No clue! My old 20W cube (it lives in the kitchen drawer now) was most likely doing the very same thing and i never had any idea, there was just no screen to show me untill now!!

I got my iPhone 18 Pro Max and there's a speck of dust inside the top camera. Should I get it replaced within the 14-day window, or is it just a lottery?

I’ve taken it to several places and had a few quick photography experiments, I’ve been unable to kill the battery when my 15 Pro would have been long gone. The zoom is amazing, all but one of these photos was zoomed in.
-Zebras at Omaha Zoo
-Birds at Omaha Zoo
-A lucky shot of a butterfly at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch
-Fireworks at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
It’s been little effort to capture these, just aim and shoot, though I did adjust the exposure for the fireworks. The colors and clarity of these are all to a scale I don’t think the old 15 Pro could have quite gotten. This is an amazing device. Also the Glacier is everything I’ve wanted, matches my 3 year old Apple Watch band.

I've been running with the Pixel line of phones for years, but the direction Google has gone with Android in the last couple of years as really detracted from the day to day user experience.
Enough so that here I am back where I started with smartphones, on an iPhone.
Have to say, other than some minor gripes, I'm really enjoying it after the first week of use.
Great performance, fantastic camera, good battery life and (other than minor things) a hassle free experience.
Went for the burgundy one as I like the colour and although it went straight in a case, a quite like the little hints of burgundy that can be seen.

I’m currently using an iPhone 13 Pro and thinking about upgrading to the iPhone 18 Pro or 18 Pro Max.
My main reason for upgrading is battery life. I want a phone that I can comfortably use throughout the day without constantly worrying about charging, and I’m planning to keep my next phone for at least 3–4 years. So, long-term battery health and how well the battery holds up over the years are important factors for me.
The thing is, I genuinely prefer smaller phones. Even though I have fairly big hands, I like the more compact size of the regular Pro. I know the Pro Max is generally the safer choice if battery life is the priority, but I’m not sure whether the difference is worth carrying a noticeably bigger and heavier phone every day for the next few years.
For those who have used both Pro and Pro Max models, or anyone who has upgraded from an iPhone 13 Pro:
I’m leaning towards the regular Pro because of the size, but I don’t want to regret sacrificing battery life, especially since I’ll be keeping the phone for 3–4 years.
Would you recommend the Pro or Pro Max in my situation, and why?

So I bought a Pro Max in burgundy and I’m looking online for a clear case with a slight tint to it like these pics but I can only seem to find them on IG / TikTok pages. Does anyone know where else I can find a case like this (specially that covers the camera plateau), or is it safe to buy from a company like this one? It seems scammy but I can’t find it for sale anywhere else.

I recently bought the iPhone 18 Pro after spending some time using Android (Pixel), and honestly, the Pixel is an excellent phone. However, after seeing the raw performance of the iPhone 18 Pro, I was tempted to give iOS another try.
My previous phone was the iPhone 16 Pro, which I absolutely loved. But something changed when Apple introduced iOS 26 and Liquid Glass. Personally, I hated the direction the visual design took. I remember when Apple’s interface felt clean and minimalist, but now it seems like everything is getting bigger with every update. That was one of the main reasons I switched to Android in the first place.
Now I’m back with the iPhone 18 Pro, and I’m noticing the same thing all over again. The icons are huge, the menus feel oversized, and I don’t know if it’s just me, but even the clock and battery indicator seem bigger in iOS 27. I’ve already adjusted every setting I can find to make everything as small as possible, yet the interface still feels unnecessarily large.
I’ve never been a fan of the Pro Max models because, personally, I prefer a smaller phone that’s comfortable to hold and easy to use with one hand. That’s one of the reasons I always preferred the regular Pro models.
And now, with the Dock apparently getting even bigger in iOS 27.2, I’m worried the interface is going to feel even more intrusive. The icons already take up so much space, and making the Dock larger just seems like overkill from an aesthetic standpoint.
I really wish Apple would reconsider and give us more control over interface scaling, including a genuinely compact layout option. Not everyone wants oversized icons and menus.
At least Apple finally gave us a little more control over transparency in this latest version, which is a step in the right direction.
Am I the only one who feels this way? Or does anyone else miss the clean and more compact look of older versions of IOS?

So i bought my iPhone 17 like 6 months ago after using the iPhone 13 pro for a few years, and i wasnt impresed as much as i though i would be, the camera was almost the same, i use my phone mainly for the camera, so is it worth it (no i do not want to wait for the iPhone 20)
