My eye! My doctor said I'm not supposed to get birthday surprise explosion in it!
•
u/BryceLeft 1h ago
My mom got this for me and my younger brother for Christmas and I knew exactly what it was gonna do as soon as I saw it, but I had to play along lol
It was our first xmas after my older brother's passing and I usually hated the novelty gifts she loved to get us, but I just played along. It made her so happy watching me and my bro look so "pranked".
She then proceeded to regift the same boxes to all my children relatives throughout the year, but I think they enjoyed it more

If you want to resign from your job, this would work great. Load it up with glitter and hand it to your boss.

Label the bills from 1 to 10
Only put in 9 bills
Watch chaos ensue

I guess this is a love it or hate it thing because I think this is cool af but other comments seem negative
•
u/ensuiscool 1h ago
that’s reddit for ya, i knew all the comments were gonna be like this. It’s just a bunch of boring people who want to be contrarians

I used to make those out of an elastic and a paper clip, then shoved in an envelope. Startled the shit out of you when you went to open it.

What’s with all the negative comments? Redditors getting triggered over paper lol
•
u/slick1260 1h ago
It's because they neither receive birthday gifts nor get invited to parties so they're bitter on two fronts.
•
u/Ancient-Civilization 1h ago
That has nothing to do with anything.
This is in fact quite wasteful use of paper and it would cause quite a stir when someone inevitably opens it up. Most people prefer to get their money directly in an envelope instead of this shenanigans. It’s like getting glitter bombed but worst.
•
u/slick1260 1h ago
Most things are a waste of paper these days. Gift wrapping, in general, for one. This is a fun way to give someone a gift of money instead of just a plain envelope. Paper is also recyclable so it's not a complete waste. Stop being so negative all the time and see the fun to be had in life.
If you genuinely believe this is worse than a glitter bomb, then you're either a fool or trolling. Either way, you're out of your mind.

No it's at most 30 discrete items you could pick up in less than 5 minutes whereas glitter stays around for months after repeated cleaning.
Also the boxes art has kids on them so this is very clearly for children who'd really appreciate a fun explosion of boxes, butterflies, and money.

The butterflies are cool but I feel like the cardboard in between the bills is a waste
•
u/S0MEBODIES 55m ago
I think they're supposed to add springiness to make the explosion pop more for the kids
•
•
•
u/daroach1414 1h ago
They don’t work like that at all in my experience. If those aren’t released basically immediately they lose their spring and don’t do shit.

i would be kind of startled but id appreciate the cool gift (and gas money)
•
u/sohnya_u 1h ago
Tried to do this for my best friend’s birthday, anyway I just ended up transferring the money instead.

This is ridiculously dumb
•
u/S0MEBODIES 1h ago
God forbid people be a little whimsical
•
•
u/Responsible_Name1217 1h ago
Yeah, when I get a gift, I want to spend 5 minutes picking up the packaging.
•
•
•
u/dizzylizzy78 1h ago
Just give me the damn money.
•
u/S0MEBODIES 1h ago
The cubes show this is clearly intended for children who'd find this very fun because when I was a child I would've found this very fun.
•
u/tiredreddituser99 1h ago
yay pick up money off the floor and spend ages cleaning up
•
u/Inexorabilis 1h ago
Ages for a few cardboard pieces?
You’re being a bit of a drama queen here.•
u/mr_malfeasance 1h ago
This is quite tame compared to a glitter bomb.
Hell, I'm not sure picking those up would be more annoying than picking the glitter off of everything from a normal card.
•
u/Inexorabilis 1h ago
I mean..? Obviously. Glitter is a billion times more annoying. This is not even a nuisance unless you give it to someone in bad spirit.
•
u/tiredreddituser99 1h ago
so few the vidéo had to cut before putting all of them. and There are these butterfly things too. it's more of a prank than a gift honestly
•
•
u/when-i-was-your-ag3 1h ago
How lazy are you that it takes ages to pick up a little paper?
•
u/tiredreddituser99 1h ago
it's not "a little paper". literally pause and count how many cardboard layers there are. as a prank it's funny I guess, but as a birthday gift? hell nah, it's ass
edit: you can see the fucking pile on the table 😭😭
•
•
u/Reckfulness 1h ago
You dont sound very fun at birthday parties!
•
u/tiredreddituser99 1h ago
sorry for saying that picking up money off the floor and having to clean up sounds like an ass birthday surprise
•
u/S0MEBODIES 59m ago
Why are you assuming that the people who gave you the gift and other party goers wouldn't help you
•
u/S0MEBODIES 1h ago
I can't believe less than 5 minutes to pick up everything is ages to you
•
u/tiredreddituser99 1h ago
holy shit man i just wouldn't want to clean up on the only lazy day I get all year, is it a crime to express that?
•
u/S0MEBODIES 1h ago
The person who got you this as a gag wouldn't help you at all or anyone else that your theoretical birthday party? It's at most 30 moderately sized easily visible items
•
u/tiredreddituser99 58m ago
whatever man you don't have to agree with me. putting my opinion out there doesn't mean I'm forcing you to agree. i personally wouldn't appreciate a mess blowing up in my face. if you do, then good for you, i hope someone gifts you that and I hope you enjoy it very much.
i, however, would not enjoy it. opinion. personal thing yk subjective. is it not okay? why do you feel the need to "prove me wrong" for it?
•
u/S0MEBODIES 57m ago
Sorry I'm feeling a little ill and seeing people over analyze and critique something very clearly made for children is really sending me for some reason
