Driving & Transit Bus ticket help
Thank you all! I am getting help with a buspass!
After being unemployed and on EI for many months, I have finally found a job that starts next week, but I have no way to get back and forth to work for the first few weeks. Does anyone know of any organizations that would help with some tickets? (Other than income assistance)

You know what, I'm in a mood today, why not.
I'm in meetings until 1:30 but if u/gildeddoughnut doesn't get you sorted, I'll be at Scotia Square afterwards and can grab you some tickets.
EDIT: Spoke with GD, DM me to find me if you're around

For the longer term, apply to the Affordable Access Transit Pass Program from Halifax regional municipality for low income people.
Allows participants to purchase a monthly adult transit pass for 50 per cent of the regular price for one year.

If you're near a library, ask if they have any, and ask if they know anywhere else nearby that might.

Anyone know the app better than me? Can you send someone tickets?

No, the terms and conditions say it cannot be done, unfortunately.

Thanks. I was looking myself and didn’t see anything so I kinda figured. Too bad would make it easier.

I can meet up with you and give you a sheet of tickets. I’m trying to figure out if you can transfer them through the app but I don’t think you can

I actually just got off the phone with St Vincent De Paul and they are going to hook me up with a buspass, so I am thrilled and happily accepted. Thank you for your kind offer. And you as well u/gildeddoughnut
