This is Yuengling, my 11 year old cat who was found as a baby stray all alone and too young to be away from her mother. She was screaming while I was outside of a college party getting some fresh air. I looked around to make sure she was really alone, scooped her up, took her home in a beer box, and she’s been in the family ever since. She’s so tiny, super small for a cat. She instigates all the other cats and has permanently claimed this spot on the lounge chair.

I don’t understand why vets say that cats are adults once they are 1 year old. She is very clearly a toddler. Rumi Yuki’s antics when sleepy are the funniest and cutest things in the world to me. Even when she decides that my entire foot is a chew toy that must be destroyed.

Meet Smokey, a female stray that was found outside of my workplace with a mangled back leg. Through the help of some of lovely humans, we were able to get Smokey the proper surgery and supporting care via a foster.
It is now time we find Smokey her forever home. She is a rear leg amputee but does extremely well with the three remaining legs. She has taken well to other cats, but not dogs (we fear either a dog or a human hurt her). She has taken well to humans and children, allowing them to hold her. We estimate her age to be around 2 years.
It has been about 6 months since we found her. So a new place will definitely take her some time, I’m sure, but she has the makings of an incredibly sweet cat. She loves to play, and instead of meowing she “twirrls” and rolls her r’s. She is incredibly beautiful and has been given a second chance at life, now she just needs to find where to spend the rest of hers. Located in Charleston, SC. If interested I can answer most questions or put you in touch with her foster.
