I genuinely don’t understand why people bother showing up to lectures just to leave 10–15 minutes into class. I’ve noticed this happening in MAT2392 literally multiple times each lecture, and honestly, it’s so rude to the professor.
Like, imagine putting time and effort into preparing a lecture, only to have students get up and walk out while you’re in the middle of teaching. It’s
so disrespectful, especially when multiple people do it.
Obviously, I understand that people have emergencies, appointments, or other commitments, and sometimes leaving early is unavoidable. But if you’re planning on leaving literally 10 minutes into the lecture, why even bother coming?
The lectures aren’t mandatory, Nobody is forcing you to be there. It’s just so disrespectful to leave mid lecture.
Our prof is sooo niceee, I feel so bad for the poor guy 😭😭😭😭

I’m sooo done with uni. I just don’t have anything in me anymore. I constantly feel burnt out and so stressed that I’ve fucked up almost everything this semester, I’m constantly behind my deadlines, I don’t perform that good in class and I feel like I might just be wasting all the hard work I put in these last few years in just one semester. I don’t have the strength to do it anymore.
Having to balance out my first leadership job, a mandatory internship part-time for my program, my classes and applying to grad school, all that while trying to survive and keep my mental health afloat is just sooo draining and I constantly want to give up.
I would’ve quit my job if I could but I need the money so bad and I can’t quit that internship either and I can’t drop my classes cause I already paid so much for them😭I’m literally stuck and my brain just won’t function
Am I the only one who feels like I don’t have it in me for my last year ??? How do I get over this?😭

Unfortunately i only recently discovered that this prof gives at home quizzes to do as homework so naturally i missed like all of them. Does anyone know their grade or point value and if they’re important to exams etc?

Hey everyone,
I’m a first-year student living in Annex. I’m planning to finish out the Fall semester, but I am thinking about stepping back or transferring out for the Winter term.
Since I have a 12-month agreement at Annex that goes until August, I need to look into finding someone to take over my lease starting in January for the Winter and Summer terms.
For anyone who has gone through this before:
Any advice, realistic expectations, or tips on finding a uOttawa replacement would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
anyone defered any hss classes since they sent that new email update that you can only defer one exam in your entire program? How exactly do they enforce that?

Anyone in his class please tell me what the midterm is gonna have? Like which chapters, did he mention anything about the content? I haven't been to his lectures (I dont understand him) so I've been reading the textbook only, and I see his most recent lectures notes seem to be on chapter 10.
Is the midterm really gonna have 10 chapters?

Today I got an email telling me I could vote in the UOSU election, so I went on Instagram to check out the different candidates.
Am I the only one who noticed that many of the posts look AI-generated? Some of them are so AI-heavy that I don’t even understand what’s going on. Renata, running for Telfer, and Dan, running to be an executive, are two clear examples.
I’m not voting for any candidates who use AI to make their campaigns.
It’s disgusting.

Hii guys, this might come off as stupid, but is it crazy to start my first year of university next September at 20 😭? I am on my second gap year but I will start school fall 2027, and I feel so behind my friends, I feel kinda insecure about it idk if I am just being dramatic though.. Has anyone else started at 20? And how’d that go? I feel like it’s already hard to make friends as is in university, and I feel like I won’t fit in because I’m 20 while my classmates would be like 18. If I am genuinely just being stupid right now then I apologize😭.

I’m looking for a fun pumpkin patch to take my boyfriend to! He has never been to a pumpkin patch and has never done any fall themed fun activities so I’m looking for a good pumpkin patch for maybe some older kids activities but honestly, I’m just going for any fun pumpkin patch in the city or nearby!! Things like apple bobbing caramel apples and stuff like that!! and of course the maze and whatever else there is!!

Pickup hockey players and goalies wanted. Adult league. 18+. Co-Ed. Friendly non contact fun. Zero tolerance for rough play.
Intermediate to advanced players welcome. This league would be too fast for true beginner players.
20$ per game.
Goalies play for free. No commitment. Play as many or as little as you want. Different rinks and times depending on where I can book ice. 3-4 games per week.
Come give us a try. We are using BenchApp for our team communication & scheduling. Join our team using this code: https://www.benchapp.com/join/team/CDPC04

Hello everyone, I was wondering if there is anyone who can give me information about the pol 3102 mid term with Robert Sparling who has taken the class before. I already know it’s two essays comparing different philosophers. Can anyone who has taken the class before tell me anything about what philosophers are being compared, the actual questions if you remember them, etc.

This prof tests us at a university level but his teaching and slides are nowhere near that standard. He tells us what's important but barely explains it and by the time you finish writing something down, he's already three slides ahead. His slides are also sooo disorganized and have very little info. They are almost useless when studying for midterms/quizzes especially for the type of questions he expects us to know. If he expects us to rely on what he says during lectures to fill in the gaps then he needs to slow down. He seriously needs to either reduce the number of concepts he tries to cram into one lecture or provide more detailed, organized slides.
What's even more frustrating is that this is his first time teaching this course but it's also our first time in uni. We're still adjusting and his teaching style makes that transition so much harder. No one's asking him to make the course easier but if he's going to test us at a university level, he should at least provide the explanations and resources needed to actually learn the material.
Pretty much all first years have this professor which is sad

Why’s finding a group so hard there ? or is there another way to find a group of people to do research with ?
