New PC Build! (After my old PC crapped out).

My good old Xeon 2640v3 and 1070ti combo were working just fine, then one of the memory controllers of the MOBO died, then the CPU started to stutter... Ended up selling the 32 GBs of DDR4 ECC RAM and the 1070ti, picked up some money I had saved and bought a whole new system.

PC SPECS:
CPU: Intel Core Ultra 5 245KF
GPU: RX 6900XT Asrock Phantom Gaming
RAM: 32GB (2x16) Adata XPG Lancer Blade (5600mhz, CL 46)
Motherboard: B860m - Asus Ayw Gaming Wifi
PSU: XPG Core Reactor ii VE 850W
Cooler: Montech NX600
Case: Aigo Darkflash DB460M
Storage: 1tb Hdd (WDB), 256gb Sata SSD (Sandisk), 512gb NVME (Xpg Lancer).
Peripherals:
Mouse - Logitech G Pro X Superlight + Logitech G203 (depending on the game I switch between them).
Keyboard - HE68 Lite (Black).
Monitor - Concordia 1920x1080, 1ms, 165hz, VA (probably my next upgrade).

The build needs some cable management later, and I could use some extra reverse-blade fans and some top push fans, but overall the build looks solid enough for now.

I could use suggestions on what to upgrade later, considering that I already plan on buying a new monitor and more storage later on. The slow ram doesn't bother me that much, but I can't really buy another kit right now without selling a kidney...

Hello Driendel, and thank you for your submission to Gaming PC! If you are new please check out our rules over at the wiki here! We have recently added the useful feature of Title Flair! You can set this manually by clicking Flair under your post once you have submitted your post, but if you missed it in the rules there is a much better way that will automatically flair your post!

To do this simply add what your post is about in brackets before your title. For example for a Build Log you can type [Build Log] before your post so that it looks like this; [Build Log]My new awesome build!, and the bot will automatically set your flair to Build Log! This works for Build Log, Build Showcase, News, Hardware News, Hardware Release, Discussion, and Miscellaneous!

Also remember that this is a place for discussing and sharing our love of Gaming Computers! This is NOT the place for help building or determining what parts you should buy, that is better suited for /r/buildapc. Troubleshooting questions should be directed to /r/techsupport. Thank you again!

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Is it getting FSR 4? I thought only the 7000 series would get it next. If that's true, maybe RayTracing with this card will actually be worth it in a few games? Not that I'm too enthusiastic about it, but that seems like a nice prospect for quality and for future-proofing. I'll definitely try to update my pc to a QHD IPS or Oled eventually, but my main concern rn is storage. My HDD is full of important stuff, but its getting old, and my SSDs just won't store enough games... I'll try to get a deal on an extra sata or NVME drive next, then I'll think about the monitor. Thanks for the reply!

cable management looks wild

That it does lol. The clear mess are the PCIe cables and the RGB cable of the GPU anti-sag bracket, but I can spot a few extra cables poking out of the empty slot of the front fans. I Threw the parts together in a haste, but I'll probably take a day to clear the cables next week, probably when the reverse-fans arrive

Quick update on that: got some extra fans and managed the cables a bit better, so it looks waaay cleaner now.

had the same case comps were smaller didnt really fit to the full length per say and it just killed the air flow in the case but it seems like ur setup fills out the case really well so you may not have the same problems

Temps look fine even with only 3 fans. I have a few spares, but they look a bit ugly. I'll probably use them for now just for extra airflow, but the temps looks normal so far.

hell yeah brody for some reason my chip hated that case even idle was bad i changed my thermals like 3 times with that case to later find out it was the case but its pretty good case outside of that

Maybe its the case fans? The iron grid of the rear and top fan mounts are VERY thick, so airflow fans might not suffice to push the air out.

Great build. Future upgrades would include a better monitor (1440p) and upgrading your 6900xt to a 9070 or 9070xt.

A 9070 wouldn't be that much of an improvement over my 6900XT, more of a sidestep than anything (in raster performance, that is). The jump to a 9070 XT is tempting, but not enough to justify the current pricing in my country unfortunately. In a few years, maybe, who knows. Besides, the GPU is my last upgrade priority now, since I got mine almost brand new from a store display a few weeks ago, so I'm not looking to upgrade it anytime soon.  The monitor is another story though, it's my N.2 priority upgrade, just behind storage.
