Well yes Wile E has caught Road Runner, the film showed that was only half the plan. After he'd catch the runner, he'd plan to eat em' (with the lawer).

While he has caught runner multiple times, he's never eaten them, so realistically, he still hasn't fully achieved his goal.

Spoilers For Coyote Vs ACME:

He does have a better chance at succeeding now that he has disassociated with ACME, but nonetheless, he's still on the chase to this day.
