I may be interested in feminine presentation, but I NEVER wore them and will NEVER wear them.

u/DragonTheOnes-spirit Evil TransLord of Death 9h ago

To be tbh. They kinda look horrible. Like genuinely I haven't seen some heels that actually look better than regular shoes

u/YourBestFriend158 Flowey Undertale 8h ago

SMH my head

u/Truly_Organic 2h ago

Baby don't hurt me dhm

12

u/FuzzyPandaVK 9h ago

Same. Honestly don't see enough of an appeal.

7

u/Samaein 9h ago

Being like 6'7 with a 5'2 gf who's into being uterly dominated and likes to feel like an ant in the grasp of an eldritch coded succubus queen is an insane appeal 😊

3

u/FuzzyPandaVK 9h ago

Honestly fair. I'm 6' (and often times wish i was shorter lol), but i'm a small twink who loves having a big & strong guy tower over me and manhandle me. I dated a guy who was 6'5 and a built AF giant haha. It was amazing. Had to stand on my toes just to kiss him and he still had to bow his head.

3

u/Samaein 8h ago

I'm a trans girl and I reaaaally wish I was something like 5'4 or something, but I learned to lean into my amazonian build and exagerating the height does wonder when my switch ass is in dominatrix mode 🥰

3

u/PissinginTheW1nd 4h ago

Nothing wrong with the Amazonian build 😳 🫣

2

u/FuzzyPandaVK 8h ago

Gotta play to your strengths. Does me no good wishing things I can't change were different. I used to hate how deep my voice is in the constant desire to be cuter and more feminine presenting, but I've taken up bass singing as well as stopped caring about the voice thing. Btw yeah I know voice training is a thing but I didn't then.

2

u/Samaein 8h ago

Never too late and like if I rememeber correctly you can train to have an insane range as well. Like from the original disney snow white to the beast in the original disney beauty and the beast 😊

(But it is a loooot of work tho lol)

2

u/FuzzyPandaVK 8h ago

I'm content now haha. You can expand your range quite a lot but only upwards btw not downwards. Been singing for a couple of months, and metal screams for 5 years now. But thank you 💕

3

u/AdministrativeEnd168 8h ago

Thought you were talking about me for a sec but I’m 5’3

2

u/Samaein 8h ago

I'll have 10 inches heels soon so the height difference could be even greater ;P

4

u/Mammoth_Watch1444 7h ago

Same, and that is a very good thing. High heels really fucks up your feet and not just that but the whole posterior chain. It can create so many issues and pain in the body that people don't even think about.

4

u/Pervyalex 4h ago

They weren't ment for you to begin with, they were originally ment for horse riders before women had rights, not that I don't appreciate how they have been horribly twisted into a fashion item

3

u/lenya200o 🌘W🌒 3h ago

I did wear heels tho, it's not that bad if you walk in em for a few minutes, but not hours

(I'm not a woman)

1

u/2The_Kaiserin2 1h ago

The heels I wore, as a woman, I can say that wearing them for 30 minutes at max is 100% fine. After that, depending on the height of the heel, it starts to feel bad, uncomfy and hurt your feet then your entire legs.

Once I went with a huge 8cm high heels to a school graduation where I and my class were standing a wall made out of students so when the graduating classes walk by, they have us "protecting" them. The entire graduation event was 1.5 hours long but I had to arrive 2 hours earlier. My dad was picking me up but he was running late forgot about me and I waited almost a hour for him. Those were my most painful 4.5 hours in my entire life.

Yes, I looked pretty but my face was miserable looking. I couldn't even sit down because all the benches were occupied by guys. I was able to sit down in the last 10 minutes. I was laughed at by my dad for "having my feet and entire leg hurt from having to wear high heels for a little time".

2

u/Bleh_3 6h ago

I actually tried, but my feet can't fit in any.

There's countless autistic men who walk around like this in their socks every day.

10

u/Previous_Current_474 7h ago

I walk like that… that means I’m autistic?

10

u/argyllfox 7h ago

Not necessarily, but walking on tiptoe or toe-to-heel it is very common among autistic people. I‘m autistic and I do it, mostly because I dislike the feeling of the impact from my heel hitting the ground reverberating through my leg, but also because walking it‘s quieter. It‘s a sensory thing

5

u/Standard-Ad-7504 5h ago

How many times am I going to find out that something I always did was actually because of autism all along? It explains practically every single weird thing about me that I ever experienced.

2

u/Previous_Current_474 7h ago

I do it bc as a kid I wondered how did dolls walk in Toy Story, and after that I just do it without thinking

2

u/IndependentGood7665 6h ago

Im the same way but dont think im autistic...

4

u/StaticCharacter 7h ago

You're an ace transbian that makes posts about pokemon, Minecraft and fnaf. This is the least compelling reason to think you might be autistic <3

2

u/Truly_Organic 2h ago edited 2h ago

As an autistic person myself, you just kinda described someone really based ngl.

1

u/StaticCharacter 55m ago

Maybe we should all get together and talk or smth ◉‿◉ be queer nerdy autistic ppl 2gether

1

u/DetonyAtDepot 7h ago

I do the same thing, I'm scared now

1

u/Breadmaker9999 5h ago

As a member of the autistic union I'll need to ask you a few questions before I give you your liscene.  1. Do you like Sonic the Hedgehog?

  1. Do you have a collection of losses change in your bedroom or somewhere in your house?

  2. Do you obsess over the lore of a media franchise?

  3. Do you have the power of flight?

  4. Are you or ever have been a member of the American Comunist Party?

  5. Who won the Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny?

And finally the only question that actually matters, when a girl walks in with an Itty bitty waist and round thing in your face do you get sprung?

Please answers these questions in order of them being asked. Failure to answer them will result in the autism Mafia break your knee caps and making you wear a cement furry suite.

1

u/uwumens 5h ago

autistic test 1 no crash bandicoot is better (and dead) 2 yea worthless currency 3 obsess no, deeply desire of knowledge of everything yes 4 I didn't tried yet (vertigo) 5 no there isn't one close to me 6 who the hell is ultimate showdown

7 after a research and it's a song, Rachel please that's so inappropriate

1

u/Breadmaker9999 5h ago

So after going over the test results it turns out you don't have autism, but you do have cancer. Also Mr. Rogers is going to kill you. https://youtu.be/lrzKT-dFUjE?is=AaOEONjmL6GU2MNl

1

u/Previous_Current_474 5h ago

1 Yes

2 Yes

3 Yes

4 I haven’t tried?

5 I’m not American and politics make my head hurt

6 I haven’t watched that, srry, I only know the memes

7 When any pretty girl gets close to me I try my best not to look at her so she doesn’t think I’m a weirdo and I either think about how pretty she is or get gender envy

What a way to find out.

Neuro-Divergent or otherwise developmentally disabled. Heavy Metal poisoning is also an option.

1

u/60Hz_Jiffy 8h ago

Well that's what our toes are made for.

1

u/Many-Wasabi9141 8h ago

Nearly every other mammal walks on their toes.

1

u/60Hz_Jiffy 8h ago

Ya but we decided to be different and walk predominantly plantigrade.

11

u/Snowy_Kitty247 9h ago

I don't wear them, but my parents keep trying to get me to. It sucks :/

22

u/Jagel-Spy 8h ago

Practically speaking, Heels are worse for your foot, worse for your stride, and pretty much terrible all round. They are a health detriment. They restrain your mobility. They're both inpractical and dangerous. There is a lot to be said about society and patriarchy from the fact the obligate feminine footwear is something that literally hobbles you and prevents you from running away from threats. In a way, they are no different than foot-binding.

Anyway, they make me feel sexy, cute and womanly, so I wear some nonetheless.

3

u/tabor_national 6h ago

It’s not obligated. Encouraged, yes, but it’s still your own fucking choice

4

u/Jagel-Spy 6h ago

Oh I know. Most of my footwear are boots, and even my heels are much the same. You won't see me wearing stilettos.

But peer pressure might as well be considered hard rules. It's a sad reality that if you want to be different, chances are you will have to fight for it. Most people don't want to have to fight for what is supposed to be a matter of preference.

Plus, some dress codes will literally require you to wear heels. Even I myself got in trouble because I wasn't wearing "The right kind" of heels, ie. Stilettos, for a function.

1

u/False-Objective-583 22m ago

You said patriarchy remember. if it's a fashion code among women why curse men?

1

u/Visible_Pair3017 10m ago

Everything is men's fault, otherwise it would mean actually needing to change stuff among women

1

u/Apart_Revolution_565 5h ago

The only reason i like heels is because of that style theory video where matpat tested if heels can kill people

1

u/Altruistic-Dress-968 1h ago edited 1h ago

There is a lot to be said about society and patriarchy from the fact the obligate feminine footwear is something that literally hobbles you and prevents you from running away from threats. In a way, they are no different than foot-binding.

They were actually masculine footwear meant for royal men.

Their impractical design that prevented you from running from threats was intentional, because they were for members of the upperclass to flaunt their wealth and security; people who's status ensured that they would have no need to run or work and could have such footwear.

So they weren't designed to bind and be painful for women, nor were they for women at all. They were never meant to be proper shoes.

1

u/False-Objective-583 24m ago

Isn't it entirely your choice? How the f#ck are patriarchy responsible for this. heels weren't so steep in 90s it only was popular and steep as a fashion among woman around 2000s and woman were entirely free to follow whatever they wish by that point. Did we demand you wear heels what kind retarded thought process is this?

4

u/holy-cornball 9h ago

As someone whos worn them. Some of yall are overreacting and choosing the wrong sizes.

4

that is pain for everyone

3

u/bhputnam 9h ago

This is gender wars bait

3

u/FallZealousideal159 8h ago

As a trans woman, I hear cis women all the time be like "well, that's just what society expects of women!" like, have you tried, I dunno, just not giving in? Like, if it's that much of a pain, then why do it? No one's forcing you, hon. Like, I got tired of shaving my body hair every other fucking day to keep it down, so eventually I got tired and said "fuck this! Imma pull a Lorax and let it grow!"

3

u/eulersidentity1 8h ago

I mean if I was a woman and I might want to wear them on occasion just to feel empowered and or sexy. Men go through pain to gain muscles for the same reason, not saying all men who gain muscle do but certainly some. Having it be an expected standard is the issue.

3

u/That_Banned_Hybrid 6h ago

Okay heels are fucking awful to wear. But Holy shit they make you look so hot.

My gf and I wore heels and chosen to sacrifice our feet to look hot and feel hot.

You do what you love even if it will make you crippled at the end of the night

If you’re wearing heels everyday, that’s self-inflicted pain for no reason. Nothing is sexy about you complaining about your heels killing you or seeing you wincing or struggling to get up from a chair because you have to balance yourself first

Wear anything besides that. Wear slippers if you have to ffs

2

u/Dalles272 8h ago

Meanwhile every man that wears S4 Safety shoes just so that this jappers can exist

2

u/Mags_LaFayette 5h ago

As a retired ballerina, my feet and ankles are permanently "twisted" so I don't feel any pain... Or anything at all.

I wear high heels fourteen hours a day. They never bothered me at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/Good_Curve_545 4h ago

wat do u mean twisted?💔💔💔

1

u/Mags_LaFayette 4h ago

I don't have an exact translation nor the medical term, but essentially most sensations are lost, the loose ligaments allow for some unholy contortions.

Do this since childhood all the way to your middle twenties. It has is benefits and issues alike.

https://giphy.com/gifs/3I5fH4aFoOgCY

1

u/Good_Curve_545 4h ago

shit... now I wanna be like that

1

u/Mags_LaFayette 4h ago

You don't, trust me.

To compensate the lack of rigidity, muscles need to be trained constantly. You can be on motion for hours, but standing still can be a nightmare.

1

u/Good_Curve_545 4h ago

damn.... now im confused

0

u/Professional-Wave841 3h ago

proper high heels have padding so they don't hurt anyways, it's only the cheep garbage that makes your feet hurt.

I wear raised heel (not exactly high heel yet still decently high) and they are literally just undersized.

1

u/Kinglycole Silly lil goober 9h ago

I certainly have. As a woman, I feel no shame wearing converse all the time. I’d rather look like shit and feel like heaven than look like heaven and feel like shit.

I'm starting to think that she only wears things that are trendy

1

u/BubbaTech24065 9h ago

If your foot is flat, does your toes stick up?

1

u/CherylTuntIRL Big fan of me 8h ago

I wear heals and flats. It doesn't hurt if you get properly fitting heels and you feel a bit sexier.

1

u/lemonhaj 8h ago

Sometimes I have been known to walk on my toes, yeah, but I don't wear heels. I walk on my toes occasionally and in my house. I don't do it if I'm going anywhere or otherwise unstable, A. because my shoes wouldn't let me and B. because I don't want to snap my ankles. I stand sideways regularly enough by accident in normal shoes.

1

u/No-Phrase-2897 8h ago

I like wearing jeans and cowboy boots.

1

u/60Hz_Jiffy 8h ago

Our toes have adapted such that we can switch between plantigrade and digitigrade at will. We find plantigrade most comfortable for standing hence why shoes are flat. However we are designed to also be able to stay digitigrade for extended periods of time. All heels are is shoes that hold your foot in digitigrade instead of plantigrade.

So this image does not actually convey what the poster expected, it is perfectly fine for your foot to be in that shape because of was designed for it. Well not THAT shape, the heels pictured are weird, your toes shouldn't be 90 degrees but you'll never see heels actually made like that.

The main why heels harm you is actually the support, if it is not ergonomic it will direct all of the weight of your body into your heel. That and the way we walk in heels is actually an awkward mix between digitigrade and plantigrade, if you want a piece of footwear that would allow you to fully walk and stand digitigrade you'd need something like the long fall boots from Portal.

Thanks for listening to my rant ❤️

1

u/JDKisawesome 8h ago

See honestly my biggest issue with these arent even the absurd steep parts its the fact that the heel is half a milimeter thick whoops you're step was off by 0.00000001 degrees you're hole foot and shoe is broken

1

u/Legal_Trainer7340 7h ago

As a guy I will never understand why women willingly wear those things. I was bored one day and tried on my mom's heels. I took one step, my foot went on its side immediately and I fell. I'm surprised I didn't fuck up my ankle.

1

u/zerior23 6h ago

They don't even look any good to me (as man)

1

u/Woahhdude24 6h ago

I thought the foot was in more of a slanting position when you wear them. D:

1

u/dxdgxhstggc 2h ago

Genuine question, why do woman wear this? Is it because taller woman are more sexy? I always though that guys like short women, no?

1

u/Open_Atmosphere4047 1h ago

Dont ever sacrifice your feet for heels. Coming from a guy most of us dgaf about them. a low chunky wedge would do wonders for your health as opposed to stilettos.

1

u/Gunk_Dunker45 25m ago

Such a confusing concept, intentially gimping any form of mobility and comfort. Its like the alcohol of footwear

1

u/No-Independence9093 11m ago

Interesting fact High heels was invented for men horse back riding. For a good chunk of time only men wore them.

0

0

u/Traditional-Ad3518 1h ago

I still don't get the idea behind heels why the fuck would you willingly wear a torture device disguised as a shoe?
