Shipping to or in Canada is probably going to be expensive. Like If you buy from illum or the usual places in the states .   Probably simpler and cheaper to buy from someone like Convoy, buy a light and add an extra battery or two .  Crazy that shipping from china is so much cheaper than closer options but it’s true .   If you’re running a cell like this . The odds are great that any light from Convoy will blow it away .

That is an 18650 lithium Ion battery. 18mm wide and 65mm long. The capacity is 2200 mAh and it is 3.7v. It looks to be a flat top battery.

What was it used for ?

Do you happen to know if it is Protected or Unprotected ?

It’s an 18650. Replace with another 18650 of your choosing, they have flat top and button top types.

dont know where you will find one of those.. maybe easier to buy a new light

my concern is your battery is protected and you should not replace it with an unprotected battery

you could go to a local vape shop and compare the length of their unprotected to your battery.. if yours is longer.. do not buy the shorter one

longer means Protected.. shorter means UnProtected.. Do Not use Unprotected in place of Protected

you should recycle that battery.. the vape shop might be willing to do that for you

pic from that thread:

If your battery is like the long one in the pic.. do not use the shorter type..

IF the Vape shop has a battery the same length as yours, buy it, but if they do not:

This is your chance to buy a different light...

Thank you Jon for stating the Protected vs Unprotected argument. Exactly why I asked the OP that question.

I hope the OP reads and heeds what you state above. He absolutely should not just go out and buy any 18650 and use it.

My one add to this is that the replacement battery does not need to have the same mAh (which is pretty low on his battery). A battery with more mAh will work just dandy - but answer the Protected vs Unprotected question first. u/AlbinoSankey

Vapcel 18650 will be great. Can get them form aliexpress quite well priced. You can get with real 4000mah which would almost double your runtime.

If it's got the USB-C port built into the battery, then it's protected, and you should look, at the very least, for a protected button top 18650 battery. I believe 18650batterystore ships to Canada. But I don't know how much it would cost.
