I tried charging and realized it wasn’t because the + is concaved in.

It’s not fixable and it might block the venting. I suggest to dispose of this cell.

Edit: and is there one specific to flat tops? That shows the difference?

I don’t remember the source. It’s the idea schematic showing the typical unprotected flat/button top Li-Ion cell (the only difference is the added button).
