This and a copper head like the Ti T6 has would be a dope little 18650 light.

Of this is a welcome addition to the convoy line ✅🙂
Thank you for engineering and adding this Simon.

We need a chart of all the convoy lights and all the dimensions and which one share which reflectors

Use search

Cool. I meant more as a published list on Simon's site, but that's a nice list

This or the M1?

I would rather have this. The M1 head is a little to big for me to pocket it.

Intresting, I assume it comes down to what kinda pants you wear. But the M1 has been quite comfy in my looser fitting cargo pants.
But this could be interesting if it fits a switchback, with a floodier LED then my M1 (SFT42R).
From what I read the M2 had some issues with the seal of the lens and water getting in, but that might be fixed.

Does it come with dual springs like the 18650 models, or with a post like the AA models?

I don't see a point compared to M1...

The head diameter is much smaller. It makes sense to me. It'll fit better in the pocket.
I say this as someone who just ordered an M1 a few days ago, because I got tired of waiting for this guy.
That's how it always goes lol.
I guess I have another Convoy incoming if the F45 is an option.

The M1 has sharp heat fins I don't particularly like and the head is a little thick for pocket carry imo, and the m2 has a sharp bezel with no other bezel replacements available afaik. So for me this solves two issues at once

I heard about this light for the first time the other week, I completely agree. You want some throw in a slim 18650 body? S6. You want a bit more with a bigger head? M1. I'm a huge fan of both lights but I don't see any need for this in the line up.

What's the consensus between F45R 4000k vs SFT-42R 4000k?

u/Maverick_1947 Sep 13 '26
The SFT-42R 4000k is a lottery. Simon said in his page that he cannot choose what tints he can order from Luminus so we can’t either. The 45R 4000k seems to be doing alright so it is the safest choice.

I thought the t6 has the s6 optic. So what's the difference?
