New Product From WURKKOS fans comment. We Built It. HD02 Pro Is Coming in Early August.
Hey reddit folks,
The new WURKKOS HD02 Pro is coming in early August, and this time, two of key upgrades came directly from WURKKOS fans feedback.
Since the original HD02 launched, we’ve received a lot of suggestions from users across the community. Among all the discussions, two requests came up more than any others, so we took both of them seriously and made them happen.
1. More flexible wing lights
The original wing lights could only tilt up and down. On WURKKOS HD02 Pro, the Dual-Axis Rotatable Wing Lights can now 135° Vertical Tilt & 180° Horizontal Rotation.
This gives you much more control over the lighting angle and makes the floodlight easier to position for different tasks.
2. A more complete emitters system
Many of you also asked for an additional red light, so the HD02 Pro now includes:
Spotlight + Green Beam + Red Light + UV + Wing Lights
Compared with the original:
Spotlight + Green Beam + UV + Wing Lights
The video gives you an early look at the upgraded wings light movement and how it performs in actual use.
We’ll keep sharing more specifications, tests, and product details here as we get closer to launch.
So, did these two upgrades meet your expectations for the HD02 Pro? Which one matters more to you, and what would you still like to know before launch?
We’d love to hear your honest thoughts.

This looks great! What are the emitters for the spot?

I was hoping for it to be sft25r but based on the shots, highly unlikely. Most probably the same sft70 as the non pro.

From what I've seen, the SFT 25R isn't the right emitter for a shallow throw reflector. The SFT42R or SFT60/70 would be better options. The SFT42R has a tighter hotspot and isn't as floody and makes it a good choice (especially with the new high CRI options).

The main light come with SFT70 gen2. I’m currently putting together all the specs and test data for the HD02 Pro. If no plan changes, I’ll share the full details on Monday.

Hopefully the hinges and "wings" got imrpoved.
Both my HD02 and HD05 have floppy hinges and wing panels that pop out on their own.

Love the rotating arm! No power bank function is a bummer, also it seems no high CRI on the main light. This puts a bit of a damper on my enthusiasm about this light. Blue color however looks great!

Green beam means laser

Count me in nearly got the currant version but the inability to area light held me back.

Looking forward to the HD02 Pro.
For starters, I guess the side light hinge tension is as good as the HD02, as the HD05 hinge (open and close not the rotatio) is very loose.
Secondly, I love that blue finish, I guess it's the same as the TS27 blue edition and the TS28 blue, really good colour.

yes this side light hinge tension will be as good as the previous model HD02. Lack of power bank option is a bit dissapointed

That's good to hear. I can still live without the powerbank feature is kinda good to have.

I’ll answer.
The uv and red are very strong on this. Not like a aux led.
They are like main led strong.
I almost bought a dedicated uv light just so I can have a strong one to sight scorpions. Of course there’s other use like uv resin curing. But outdoors it would be great for certain bioluminescence plants and insect spotting.
The red is very strong enough to hike with it alone. Means you can see down the trail with it not just an area red led for your feet. When I was hiking with a friend we spotted fireflies in the bushes. We were goofing off and using red instead of a white emitter. But I doubt we could spot them with a bright white emitter. So that’s another outdoor use case.
My only criticism which is not a deal killer is that the UI is 1c UV and 2C Red. I prefer the reverse but still ok.1

Dang! There are many things I cannot drive forward on my own. I need to rely on everyone's collective effort to advance these improvements.

They finally did it

Love the lights you guys put out. Me and my girlfriend have a lot of them. Love the hd01 and the ts10, ts10 max, td07, hd10, Fc11c, and the ts11.

How is the driver?

Something no information. I’m currently putting together all the specs and test data for the HD02 Pro.

Dear Wurkkos. The most important part of a work light is the efficiency. It has to be bright and last a long time with no risk of burning the user or the components themselves. The only way to ensure this is with high efficiency LEDs and most importantly a high efficiency and regulated driver. Either a boost or buck driver. For every single light source. So the main focused lights and the “wing” lights. It has to be buck or boost driver

Please put out an orange version. 🟠 I like the changes, I'd just like to tack on to the suggestion to use a ZWB2 filter for the UV. It really does boost contrast when searching for fluorescent and phosphorescent materials!

Random review I found on YouTube

WTF? They deleted the power bank function? See video at 11:09
So they didn't upgrade waterpoofness. Still IPX6.
They didn't upgrade to ZWB2 filter on the UV.
They removed the power bank function.
Pro my butt.

They cut off powerbank option in new HD02 pro. Of course, they don't say/write that in the advertising campaign :)
Old HD02 is a better flashlight model.

Looks cool, but I know it's one of those that I'd get then never actually use. It's also huge. Are there any plans to make a HD03 with UV or other emitter options?

Will you offer it with SFT70 3000K high CRI? Or 6500K only? But I guess if the wings are adjustable CCT it doesn't really matter
If it will have all of these features and is available in blue, I want it

Looks promising and I sincerely hope for the stepped brightness changes to allow predictable runtimes.

u/PecanPlan Jul 23 '26
Is it IPX8 now? Or still IPX6?
How fast is reverse charging now?
Does UV have a ZWB2 filter now?

You missed out on calling this a "Flood Aite"

Looks great!
Is it the same lumen, runtime, and range as the first one?
What kind of retention keeps the wings folded down? Just tension in the hinge, detent, mechanical clasp?
1
u/goldengrip69 Jul 29 '26
So reverse charging or not? If yes I’m not sure there is a better light on the market.

Forgot the red light and tritium cutouts?
1
u/WURKKOS_Flashlights Jul 24 '26
Red light yes, but tritium cutouts is still in considering.
1
u/Dependent-Manner1037 Jul 24 '26 edited Jul 24 '26
A less than 1 lumen moonlight would also be great and adding the SOS. If you can make the aux light on the switch on to help find it in the dark, then no need for tritium cutouts.
