My driver's side heated seat quit working.
Not even a luxury car, but damn I didn't realize how much I missed it. I am one of those lucky idiots who purchased an extendend warranty through the dealership and it's about to pay itself off. Already had the AWD module fail.
It's been a week and a rough one, esp now that temperatures are dipping into the high 30's (F) where I live.
It would be 95⁰ and I'd still have it on because that heat felt soooo good on my back for my hour commute home with the AC blasting.

tell us what this car is. Id want to avoid a car with its AWD failing and Seat Heaters failing within the warranty period itself.

Mine is a 2020. It had a recall on the front driver/passenger doors and has a recall on the infotainment screen. 85k miles on it.

I went from a car with heated seats to one without. It had a small diesel engine, so heated seats were mandatory to stay warm when the temperature dipped well below freezing. I bought a heated seat pad that plugged into the cigarette lighter. Worked great. Sometimes too great. I’d just plug and unplug it when my bum got too hot. Worked until I eventually quit driving the car.
The car was too good a deal to pass up. Having to purchase auxiliary heat was a small, but necessary price to pay.
Now I also have a heated steering wheel. Years ago I had someone tell me they’d never buy a car without a heated steering wheel. Now I see why.

Heated seats are such a game changer, I couldn't make it through the winter without mine.
Funny anecdote: My dad bought our first car with heated seats like 30 years ago. He went and picked up his mom and turned hers on. She had never been in a car with them, they were relatively new. After awhile she started to look uncomfortable as well as upset and turned to him and said "I think I just wet myself". She hadn't, it was the seat! She laughed so hard when my Dad explained it to her. I miss her laugh, it was so infectious.
