I watched the interview, and what stood out to me most wasn’t politics at all — it was how consistent his personality seems to have been even when he was much younger.
He already talked a lot in terms of winning, competition, toughness, ambition, and seeing life almost like a battle. He came across as someone who placed a huge amount of value on being strong, successful, and not being taken advantage of.
That’s the part I found interesting, because regardless of how anyone feels about him, the basic personality traits and way of looking at the world seem remarkably consistent over time.
I also think the YouTube title is a little more dramatic than the actual interview. I wouldn’t say the video proves he had his whole future mapped out back then. To me, it shows more that a lot of his core attitudes and personality were already very established.
And personally, I think that’s much more interesting than trying to turn the clip into a political argument. It’s almost like watching an old interview with someone and realizing, “Wow, this person really has always been like this.”
