This December, a 4th Volume of Tex Avery's Screwball Classics is coming to both DVD and Blu-Ray for the first time and only 6 years since the first 2 volumes' DVD and Blu-Ray's releases + 5 years since the 3rd's as well.

A disc featuring the very last 14 shorts presented uncut.

If this goes against Rule 6: No Bootlegs, please let me know. I'm just trying to determine if I screwed up.

I bought this box set for the Digimon anime on ebay, hoping to relive some of my childhood nostalgia. It arrived today, and something about it just seemed kinda off to me. Everything seemed slightly discolored and the poster that was advertised to be in the box wasn't included. This is especially since the seller said it's in it's original packaging.

Putting it into MakeMKV got me some more technical details. The Timestamp was set to August 18th, 2025. The original version of this boxset released in 2013. I couldn't find any record of this being reprinted at all. Also to me, that error message about the disc being processed by DvDFab/MacTheRipper seems like the nail in the coffin. What do you guys think?

Edit: Thanks for all the quick replies and insight! I'm now fully convinced that this is a bootleg. I went ahead and reported it to ebay.

This repo steelbook was imedietly preordered once I found out because of someone on letterboxd that commented it on a review. And I just love frankenhooker

I will rate and list the movies I've seen throughout the marathon as I go and whether I've seen it before or 1st time watch.

1. Monster House (Seen before) 8/10

A hood classic. Still holds up.

1. Mesa of Lost Women (1st watch) 3/10

Absolute boring cheap trash of a movie. Wouldn't recommend watching it.

1. A Nightmare on Elm Street (Seen Before) 8/10

Still solid.

1. Gremlins (1st watch) 7/10

It was ok.

1. Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (Seen before) 9/10

Absolutely a banger zombie movie.

1. Nightmare on Elm Street 2: (1st watch) 6/10

This one felt pretty weak to me compared to the 1st

1. Nightmare on Elm Street 3: (1st watch) 7/10

Better than 2 but not as good as 1.

1. Nightmare on Elm Street 4: (1st watch)

2. Nightmare on Elm Street 5: (1st watch)

3. Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare: (1st watch)

4. Friday the 13th UNCUT: (Seen before) 9/10

Absolute classic.

1. Friday the 13th Part 2: (Seen before) 8/10

Still pretty solid.

1. Friday the 13th Part 3: (1st watch)

I didn't even have The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover on my want list because I didn't expect to see a copy in the wild. I haven't seen since since renting the edited version years ago. Plus 3 more classics.

Every time I go to open it, it goes black and then back to my home screen. For reference, I’m using an iPhone 17 Pro Max and all my software updates are done, so I don’t think it should be the phone

I can't imagine what the marketing strategy here was. Maybe someone will mistakenly buy a copy when they actually wanted the Don Draper drama? Is that the only way they can sell Made Men?

It's been years since I've watch Jurassic Park. So might as well watch them all! Both the Jurassic worlds will be a first time watch for me. Followed up with Scream to continue scary movie month. And then a little comedy at the end to keep our spirits high.

I think it’s from a library but now I own it

Went to the goodwill bins on my lunch break and found this screener. 28 Days later is one of my all time favorite movies and ive been trying to collect all of the different releases of it, so im stoked to find one of these screener copies for .99 cents.

Godzilla is wonky due to multiple movies being in one case multiple times 😅

Probably not popular picks, but I enjoyed these two and had to get em.

I've been rearranging my house the past week, consolidating all my media info what once was my bedroom to turn it into a library/theatre style room whilst what once was my living room becomes a studio living space (I have put far less work into that 😂😭)

I got this guy in from the garage the other night and have been trying to figure out arranging it to fit relevant trinkets as well. Think I've got it where I want it (for now)!

And now just to get the big ass spinner shelf in here....

Rookie mistake, didn't check the box on this thrift store buy 😖

Following a recommendation I saw on the 4kUK sub for Brown's Books, I'm just wondering if there are any other websites for buying new or used DVDs aside from the usual (CEX, HMV, Music Magpie etc) that I might not be aware of.

I was only recently made aware of Music Magpie but both my recent orders have had issues, including the wrong discs being sent, scratched discs and region-locked copies.

I'm specifically looking for horror and world cinema - not exactly things I might find in charity shops.

TIA.

My best guess is this was part of some bundle or another.
